It really does have that yucky cartoony art style of SC2 and contemporary MOBAs of 2010s (League season 5 and dota2 mostly) Even Halo Wars 2 suffered from over saturated cartoony art style

The titan is just too powerful. Normally in other rts it should be akin to artillery/siege unit which is powerful but has a lot of drawbacks like being very slow or bad at melee, yet that titan has no such drawbacks at all. It just casually bulldoze enemies

@@strategygame40k179 DOW2 had it perfect during the campaign. The maps were huge, but very detailed and almost cramped, but kept pretty realistic. Having to take cover behind each and everything while being able to lose said cover by a grenade or simply because a carnifex walked right through it was great. On other things I wish the had gone with the slower pace and movement of the units. DOW3 units look like toys being flicked around. (Very SC2-style)In DOW2 the heavy units together with the impactful feel of weaponry it gave it a sense of heavyness while at the same time maintaining the time needed to make decisions. They could have blended that with the almost perfect scale and balancing of DOW1, where each and every battle could be turned around at even the last point. DOW1 was one hell of a slaughter waging back and forth for hours. I have memories of very intense battles in DOW1 while my memories of DOW2 are more on the immersive side.

@@strategygame40k179 I think one of the best features of DOW1 was that squads could be upgraded and refilled right where they were. That feature alone let you withdraw an almost dead squad from the frontline, rearm and replace lost units and then get them back into battle right away. This feature alone made up for a hell lot of surprises on the battlefield that turned the tides in an instant. You could hold the line for much longer and the battle. The retreat mechanic in DOW2 wasn't the most fun for me.
