Years ago, my family and I watched a movie called “Wall-E”. It was cute, overall a good, wholesome movie. Ever since, my husband has talked about how he believes the way the people were “farmed” by robots during that movie is the goal of the evil in our world. When we become so dependent, we give up complete control.

We were instructed to “work from home” we have provided almost 4 years of online what do we do each day and can easily be analyzed by AI to quickly break down what each online job (user) does and how it can do so with greater speed and efficiency. The manual labor part has greater security… and we are still a few decades away from “Robots” replacing a lot of manual jobs. But, it’s coming.

James Cameron actually came up with the idea of the Terminator and Skynet during a fever dream early on in his career. I do believe it was prophetic. Skynet will ultimately be a combination of drones, Neuralink and Starlink. This all goes into the end-times Beast System…

As AI continues to improve, I really do not know how we will know what is truth. A picture used to be truth, but not anymore. Plus the fact that AI can mimic someone in 10 seconds. How will we know if for example, Trump, Putin, or anyone really said what a video portrays?

Have little over a year before retiring from what will be 32 years as a police dispatcher, first 15 was at Houston. Had a coworker point out what would have been about 20 years ago with our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) program that it appeared to be set up for automated dispatching of units. I could buy that, as the cars were having GPS installed on them, and imagine a computer could determine which unit was closest for a call, determine priority and the amount of response needed for the type of call, and send the call to the units in the field over their mobile terminal units. However, we also had "call takers" who would obtain the information from the public and enter a call slip to be dispatched by the dispatcher. I would find it hard to believe that AI could take over the call taker function. Imagine you're in a total panic because someone is breaking into your house, and trying to speak to a computer, as we do now. I can only imagine the "I'm sorry, I didn't get that" loop that many people would be locked into. I've talked to many people over those 32 years that I know would never have a unit dispatched...

Another interesting thing happening is that my high school kids can instantly recognize it, if they are talking about some school work with friends sometimes I here them saying that was definitely chat gtp, referring to something from there work. I’m glad they can tell it apart. Try to think of chat gtp as a creative writing tool that’s really good at linguistics and preloaded with info that it can summarize, that makes it less dreadful.

Everything starts with smartphones. They already took the personal contact, friends, families, etc. now is the job. On the other hand, in my current job, the new people that have been hired lie, cheat, don't work, so another reason to replace us with machines. 😮

You should research UBI, or Universal Basic Income, Elon and other AI gurus talk about it as a solution for human unemployment. I have been preaching AI to my local Florida County School Board for !8 months. They haven't even created an AI class yet.

I'm a lab courier that drive a company car picking up lab specimens. My job is safe from AI. Physical people have to go to these clinics/hospitals to pick up specimens, know how to separate/bag them, count them at the end of their route. You drive alone, unless training a person. For those interested try Pathgroup, AEL, LabCorp, and Quest Diagnostics. It's not difficult to do lol.

I don't know your job that well, but could imagine the input could be done by people at the clinic/hospital, an automated vehicle would drive to that location, send a robot to collect the specimens, sorted by the person loading the robot, and then the vehicle would take it to the lab.
