Interesting seeing the differences in these hybrid foils. An efoil is effortless but heavy with crazy range. The FoilDrive is easy to get up and you can pump and carve or sink it a lil and have effortless propulsion with potential drag. This has zero drag, helps get up into tiny bumps and then you gotta work to keep it up. Seems ideal for prone surfing waves that aren’t breaking. Or snagging windswell you’d normally need a big SUP and skill for. Can’t wait to see these! Gotta love technology
@misterbennetts10 ай бұрын
Yeh it’s wild isn’t it. There is also a hybrid efoil option like a foil drive available, just way safer and not clunky with duct tape etc. but this is the one for me cause the motor on the mast thing is way draggier and awkward!

This board seems high tech . I get the jet is an insert but how easy will it be to fix the “smart” board if a connection to the jet from the launch pad fails? If a foil drive breaks you can order a component or get a new remote . If the board malfunctions wouod you need to get a new smart board? Seems awesome but also seems double the tech that could malfunction betweeen the jet insert and the board compared to foil drive or manta take off where the board isn’t “smart”. Love the idea but at this price point concerned about durability and upkeep costs. Any thoughts on this?
@misterbennetts9 ай бұрын
The control panel is a small circular puck that screws in and out of the nose of the board. So it couldn’t be easier to replace anything as it all comes out of the board. Fliteboard has the best customer service in the industry with customer service teams operating globally 24/7 and issues resolved usually within 24-48 hours plus service centres all around the world. The board itself is just a chassis that holds the cartridge (with jet and batteries) and the control panel and it also rides exactly like a normal prone board without any of the ‘tech’ in it, just like in my latest video - check it out 🤙🏼
@robertchristopher74269 ай бұрын
@@misterbennetts I saw the video . That was pretty sweet! Also , the removable puck control board as described sounds good and easier to manage. Any idea at all when this might get to customers ? Will the insert to convert it to a jetless board come with the board? Thanks!

Should be out 2nd quarter of this year. And yep as far as I know the blank cartridge will ship with the board so it will be ready to ride as a normal prone board. @TheNaturalust yep, it’s just to get you on foil. Once you’re on foil you can then ride the ocean wind bumps. There’s a control panel on the deck of the board near the nose. Les loulou, ce ne fait pas rêver vos surf de houle. Mais tant mieux, que les filets prennent la houle? Les surfs resterons campé sur les vagues. Et ce n est pas demain que tu feras un tube. Kenavo

A normal surfboard will be faster than these things,Where I live there are guys that ride these on the river and honestly they're like a skateboard for the water,and electric skateboard will be much faster than these things.

Im sorry but you couldn’t be more wrong. Hydrofoils are significantly faster than surfboards. It’s simple physics with the drag co-efficient. Why do you think America’s cup boats use hydrofoils - because they are way way way faster with no surface drag 🤙🏼
