I really think you are missing ArcGIS in here. Its not just desktop tools and one of its major advantages is that it is an integrated geospatial platform saving you from building a type of cocktail solution.

You are right but I can only share about the tools that I use, and I haven’t used any Esri tools since I graduated in 2010.

Curious to why no mention of ESRI or ArcGIS? With their announcement in November at Microsoft Ignite of native Microsoft Fiber integration and embedded toolsets. Not to mention the hundreds of free and subscription courses and certifications to promote learning, this video would seem to be short sighted?

Thank you for the interesting and informative content. Among the GIS stack you introduced, I have been using Google Earth Engine a lot these days, and I truely feel the powerful force of the cloud. With the emegence of usable LLMs, it seems my approch to coding is inadvertently shifting from writing code first to 'reviewing' the code written by LLMs. I believe it's a change in geospatial information in any form, and it's something to embrace. :)

To shed some light on that I haven’t had the need to use traditional GIS tools since I left school so this represents my experience. I’ll share a post where I define modern GIS. Nothing against Esri but for me I have found these tools helped me in my career path. forrest.nyc/what-is-modern-gis/
