The director of the next MonsterVerse film, Grant Sputore, has stated that his favorite Godzilla film “isn’t out yet” hinting that his movie will be his dream Godzilla film. So I think it's most likely that his film will be Godzilla-focused because it wouldn't make much sense for his favorite “Godzilla” film to be a Kong-focused story.

It’s really a good time for Godzilla and Kong fans alike. Some take it for granted because of his roles in the last 2 movies but we all know Godzilla will steal the show again in the next, whether he’s a supporting character or the main character. It’s too bad fans of both won’t be able to get a Monsterverse fighting game that’s like the older Toho ones that were made for consoles. Imo, that’d be a good way for Legendary to do a hypothetical scenario of if the Monsterverse met Pacific Rim.

But Kong has become a pivotal, main character in this franchise now and these movies make more money when both Godzilla and Kong are onscreen. Look at KOTM: no Kong, lowest grossing film in the franchise that nearly killed the Monsterverse. I recognize that Kong’s storyline has been the focus of GvK and GxK, but it doesn’t mean he gets dropped in the next film. Just make him a secondary character.

Kong has been the main character the audience can relate and understand with, another reason why I left him out was because as much as I love him, the next film is already confirmed a 3rd GxK and next T.v. series on Kong, I was just listing some ideas they should use. While Kotm did horrible (due to endgames releasing a month before it) it's still one of the fans highest favorite film compared to Gvk and GxK.

There’s a lot of time between now and then from 2025 to 2027, I don’t see what we need to worry about here for now at least. Just chill out with what we’re getting for Godzilla content and stick around for the rest of what we’re getting, especially with Jurassic World Rebirth. Tbh I still can’t believe we’re getting Godzilla in Fortnite soon next year, it will definitely usher in alot of new fans. Mostly the younger ones. Which is gonna be interesting. Even then there’s a chance that the next Monsterverse movie about Goji might have to be delayed since you shown and many others already pointed out. Sonic movie 4 will be releasing in 2027 as well in that same month. I’m already prepared for next year, 2025 is either gonna be great or iffy. We’ll see!

I am a major godzilla fan. I'm 34 years old and have watched all the godzilla movies. Showa and heisei and millennium series. The unmade godzilla vs Wolfman. All the cartoons. Played all the godzilla games but unleashed. Kong I've seen all his movies. He is a powerful ape monster. But in reality he would not stand a snow balls chance in hell against godzilla. Godzilla being a mutant dinosaur who single handled beat both the avengers and superman, godzilla also beat all the Greek gods and became massively op when he went to hell so We need no more Kong movies. Im excited to hear how much the Monsterverse is growing and thiving. I do have some concerns. If Legendary tries to grow too fast, then the hype can die. I know Fortnite is popular, eapecially among younger gamers...however I feel like this cheapens the Monsterverse. Also that design is...well New Empire looks amazing compared to that. I want another monster brawl game! Or potential RTS were Titans could be used as an ultimate weapon to control or make it a survival game where players build to make the perfect anti-titan city. For Jurassic Park, Im on the fence with the new movie. The World trilogy just...the first one was the best one. I would love a survival horror game, time will tell I guess. JP Evolution 3...SO SUPER HYPED!!! I can't wait to build bigger and better parks! Curious to see what new mechanics they will have! The Issue i have with the MV is, that they are basicly Kong Movies since Adam Wingard started directing it. We got no Godzilla themes like Michael Dougherty gave us and 2019 was the best Godzilla MV Movie, GvsK and GxK are just Kong Sequels wih Godzilla in it. Also the second season of Monarch is full on Kong focused and i am really pissed cause there are so many other Kaijus that should get screen time.
