Ditch the Hellcat motor in a Durango or any SUV product. Those only need a strong v8 - think 5.7 - stop playing identity crisis. Save produced Hellcat motors for a new project with a new light weight chassis. Scrap the Charger chassis - their loss. You wanna play tiddly winks with the American market by making monumental mistakes, you gotta pay. Bring back the Challenger, Make the Cuda or Barracuda a Halo vehicle. Bring back the Hellcat in an affordable high performance package. At the bare minimum, new NA motor for the Scat line up, dual overhead cams - Make Ford cry. Keep the Cat motor, JUST change the chassis. They have to do something totally new, and totally extreme for the right price for the consumer to jump on board, cause Mopar shit the bed and they should know it. Talk is cheap. Get rid of the pronoun SUVs with performance motors and get back to old school roots with drastic changes to build quality, prices, holding thieving dealerships accountable, and stop producing products that end up as market waste.

The Hellcat engine in a AWD platform was a Game Changer. Had a Charger Hellcat….traded it for the Durango Hellcat… Constantly did sub 4 second 0-60’s on the street. The Charger could never do it. Spinning aint Winning as they say. never looked back. No regrets. However… put the Hellcat engine back into the 2025 Charger/Avenger/Cuda with AWD… SIGN ME UP 😎👍🤌

Have a 84 stepside wooden bed floor, chrome steps and stacks. Came with a 225 , 833, white spoke rim's, .60x15" street tires. Little Blue Express on the doors, tinted Rwindows, no AC or Radio, and no wood on the side of the bed or tail gate. I purchased it new from Westside Dodge, JAX, FL.

Having owned a ‘23 DDHC the engine and whine was epic. Miss it very much. Hope Dodge does something to make the cars a lot more difficult to steal. TK, think they will? Tell them to do that please. TK, I just want to say thanks for keeping us up to speed before I go on my rant, lol. All this HellCat talk is awesome, I couldn't be more happy.....but this isn't the core product that will turn the company around, regardless of what they put it in, and I think they should put it ANYTHING that will handle it, given that I grew up when they Turbocharged EVERYTHING including minivans. But, unless they plan to price them so ridiculously cheap that folks can't refuse. they will have to have the product for the average buyer, at a killer price, to really make it happen. I've been a Mopar guy all my life, my Dad worked there for 30yrs (1968-1998) and man he'd be PISSED, I MEAN F**KIN PISSED if he was still around to see what's happened to Chrysler. Especially after going through the crap leading up to Lee Iacocca having to save the day, plus still being around to witness the "merger of equals" fiasco with Daimler. Even he would say "$111,000 for a Dodge Durango?, WTF"".

Call me crazy but I can envision an ad for the return of the TRX. I see a bunch of Ram (1500, HD, Ramcharger, Dakota) trucks lined up side by side in two rows with their headlights dimmed like they're resting. Then, you'll hear a faint sound of the Hellcat engine and it gets louder and louder as the TRX approaches. All of the other trucks'high beams come on as if they're saying "What the hell(cat) is that? "The TRX flies past them and the other trucks follow. Now that I think about it, I might have seen something like this before. 😆

While the Hellcat and the Hemi are great engines, they are not the best they can be. A major revision is needed to make the engine more efficient, lighter, powerful and reliable. With direct-injection or dual injection and aluminum blocks they should be able to get 2-3 more MPGs easily white making the cars less front heavy, they should also solve the Hemi-tick problem, ending up with a truly great engine.

I’m curious what happened to the V8 version of the Pentastar that was proposed in two different displacements? Who is my understanding through my industry associates that this engine was actually developed; and then Fiat put a stop to it. Also, let’s not forget that there was a twin turbo charged version used in Maseratis. Seems to me that a V8 version of the Pentastar; tooling has already been produced might be a feasible option for a low-cost hemi replacement, which was the intention behind the original design.
