That somehow through all the family’s bullshit that Lip, being the “genius” he is, would get an education and live a better life. But as you watch the show, you realize Lip is actually stupid and even a “genius” like him can’t escape the generational family trauma. He ruined his life several times through all the shitty and poor life decisions he made. Thank god for Carl.
