I did not realise you guys had made your own podcast. I used to watch the TGS/Co-optional podcast ALL the time. I'm so happy that you're both still doing this, you still have the same legendary animator doing the intro too. Man I've been missing out. Coincidentally I only learned a few weeks ago that a bunch of the old content from TGS/Polaris including the old podcast was deleted. Learning about that sucked but finding this podcast has really cheered me up. It's so good to see that you're still such good friends. You guys, TB and more really made my teenage years special and helped make me into the person I am now. Thank you. I know what I'll be binging the hell out of for the next few weeks.

If you have the time, go through the backlog :) In one of the early episodes Dodger and the Guest just talk about turtles for roughly 40 minutes. Almost the entire podcast, just turtles. Still one of my favorites.

It is a huge unspoken rule among a vast majority of warframe fans not to spoil the second dream. Its an immense amount of joy to see peoples first time and the realization that no one spoiled it on purpose hits them like a truck. Its fantastic.

My one thought on where it still falls short for an awards show is they do too many "Let's rapid fire 5 awards so we can get back to the trailers." While the trailers are the main thing most people are tuning in for, they need to let at least a few more people onto the stage to accept their award.

48:30 As a Warframe vet: Yeah, Second Dream definitely starts off the big stuff, and Dodger does have a ways to go before 1999 content. However DE has streamlined the game quite a bit and made getting through older content faster and some of it is optional. While I can't say exactly how many hours Dodger has until she's up to date, if she were to focus specifically on the story quests and keep her gear up to snuff, she'll be fine. Also - every weapon and "character" in Warframe can be viable even at high end play. If there's a weapon that's simply too enjoyable to switch out of...don't. Keep powering it up. Throw some formas on it, make different builds for it that is strong against different factions. Need mastery rank? Power up some other weapons/warframes and then switch back to the favored one. She'll be fine.

Warframe is such an ironic case because you just know Jesse would be all into all the lore and theorycrafting that setting has all over again just like WOW and FF14. The fact that he wasn't aware it has a story is so hilarious.

BL1 and 2 were amazing, BL3 was unfunny for the most part, but BL3's major failing that makes it feel like wading through treacle is that it is designed around exceptionally unfun vehicle gameplay and has big maps just for the sake of big maps.

As someone whos played LoL for like 10+ years and haven't set a foot in summoners rift in maybe 7 or 8, it definitely is possible to just enjoy a cpl games of ARAM a night and be perfectly happy.

Geoff's parents are very high up in IMAX. IMAX is canadian as a reminder and have their pockets in Hollywod. Also, don't forget Geoff's history as a kid ever before his infamous Half Life stuff. Also aways as a fun fact, there was a gamesaward show in the 90s and it was truly something else as all games were FMV and Hollywood truly thought that was gaming was. Although, you gotta love Tim Curry. -A Canadian and have followed games media for too many years.

Happy for Capcom to let Resi rest for a while (still waiting for Code: Veronica) if it means we get to see both Okami and Onimusha get revived using their new engine. Definitely my favorite reveals of the night. A bit surprised that VII: Rebirth didn't manage to take home the GotY. Who knows? Assuming they manage to stick the landing, maybe the next (and possibly last) VII:R game will manage to sweep the awards whenever it comes out, like what happened to LotR: Return of the King.

Watched this live for once, but here's an offering for the Algorithm =) To me, the TGA this year were worth it for the Okami announcement alone - it was so beautifully done, with such respect for the original, I couldn't help crying. The fact that a game like Okami - an artistic masterpiece of a game that was a commercial failure - could be revived as a franchise and given such a high profile treatment gives me joy and hope.

Jessie, CDPR did EVENTUALLY get cyberpunk right but it's release was a mess. They made reviewers use approved vids and pics. The PS4 version was so bad Sony pulled it from thier store. I know you're close with them but lets not pretend like they stuck the landing.

Maybe if they pushed harder on the actual movie and made sure they had the correct casting for the actors and just put the original voice actor in for claptrap. Maybe the fourth game would have actually been finished for more. Cuz clearly through the email newsletter that I usually get with borderlands they were trying to heavily tie the movie with borderlands 4 in some way. Then there was a major course correction because the studio f***** up

Ok, I love the show, especially when it's Crendor plus Jesse and Dodger plus Jesse. But, when it's Jesse and Dodger, I feel like Dodger has always so much less time to comment stuff. I want Dodger to have more time to talk. Her perspective is always interesting and funny. She's been cut off so many times in this episode that my migraine got active. The goofs were superb though. No complains there. Thank you both for the podcast.
