I actually just started going back to old games at the start of this year, and I've had so much more fun playing these old video games than I have had in the past four or five of current games. It made me realize that 99%of current games or just broken disappointing piles of crap.
@PeteSkerritt9 жыл бұрын
Right on. Chris echoed a lot of my feelings about modern console gaming. All of the waiting for patches & updates kills the mood a little bit, especially when it wasn't that long ago when we could just power up a console and play a game without all of the waiting around.

zempmasterz I agree too man, day one DLC killed current gaming for me. Plug a genesis up and put a game in. You get the whole game. You might have to UNLOCK stuff, but it's there.

The struggle is real out there. Who is faster? Who sees what first? What the heck are "dibs", anyway? Seriously, this was a lot of fun to watch and I alternated between cheering for the cool stuff you found and laughing my ass off at some of the shenanigans that ensued. It's probably not as fun, in the heat of the moment, hoping that you don't get caught slippin'... and it can get a little heated when you do. Or when you're not quick enough on the draw. Getting to see two Road Rash games was really cool. Road Rash for 32-bit consoles was amazing for its time; the improved graphics, the fun/neat FMV stuff, and the grunge-influenced soundtrack combined to make an awesome package. The 3DO version, which came first, is the better one. I'm still hoping to come across a Road Rash 3 in my travels. I never got to play that one. Thanks to Chris for manning the camera this time around. It's an underrated responsibility that Chris, Melvor, Dodongo, and whoever else assumes that role for each episode has. I'll bet that it's tempting to want to look at games yourself while you're manning the camera... plus there's a lot riding on the footage that they capture, which gives us as viewers the feeling of being right there with Billy & Jay during their chases.

I started seriously collecting right around 1997 or so. I used to hit up a FuncoLand game store every pay day-- eventually started working for FuncoLand, and slowly amassed an even bigger collection. It's funny that some of my most prized games suck the hardest. The NES is my passion, but I've got all sorts of goodies over the years from the Virtualboy to a MicroVision. I definitely appreciate all the content that you guys make, because I'm into all the retro nostalgia goodness too.
