Coach Paulson it’s truly a privilege to see going more in depth on the origin of your linage of Catch as Catch Can. Billy Robertson is smiling down on your revealing Catch Wrestling techniques. I would love to learn the 150 techniques that learned from Japan back when you were competing as a fighter. I agree with the comments that you made about the evolution of grappling actually blends Wrestling with Jujitsu and judo as well as with two on one wrestling. Thank you for sharing Coach Paulson!

My teacher, Master Clyde Stanley, taught us this variation from the Paintbrush(V-lock) to figure 4 armbar for as long as I can remember. He also highly recommended your channel and teachings to me, and I can really see your influence in our moves. I also have a slightly modified version of this. We have a student who is insanely strong...and I mean the kind of strength people shouldnt have. I have locked in an armbar from the mount and spun down to the floor with him dead to rights, then this man raised me off the floor all the way over to his other side....I really dont think Im describing it well enough, but I had to completely modify my moves to work on him. If I end up in this position, I take my arm and wrap it around his arm, similar to how you did in this video. I place his elbow by the blade of my wrist instead of down to my elbow. Then I put his elbow by my ear and flatten out. I then use my shoulder/neck against his forearm/wrist and drive all my weight toward it. If done correctly, his elbow is pointing toward the floor, and my blade is under it, and my shoulder is pressing his wrist on the floor. It's essentially a reverse armbar from the crossbody/side control. The cool thing is, it works on everybody, not just people much stronger than you.

Great stuff! Love the foot lock attack following the arm attack series. I like to step over the head to setup a cross side arm bar, if they push my knee away when I step, get them with the Howdy choke.
