I'm having a hard time finding that a woman discovered Penicillin... It could be biased search results. Does anyone know her name? I see that Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin discovered it's structure in 1946 (well after Penicillin's discovery is credited to Fleming in 1928), but I can't find much else.

I'll admit I got this one wrong. I believe I was thinking of "Mary Hunt", who discovered and helped produce the strain of Penicillin that we still use today (super interesting story involving a moldy cantaloupe). But she didn't originally discover penicillin itself. -Ash
