Call of Duty World at War Zombies 15 Years Later is about each of the maps from the original world at war game and their impact on the series going forward! Nacht Der Untoten or Night of the Living Dead, Verruckt or Asylum, Shi No Numa or Swamp of the Dead, and Der Riese or The Giant are all iconic and have been referenced over and over again for their impact on the series! Call of Duty zombies could not exist without any easter eggs and all without this game and these characters, enjoy!

The Rise of Call of Duty Zombies: World At War is the beginning of the zombies series being covered on this channel. It's a miracle this mode even began and the happiest accident zombies could have ever asked for, but Treyarch in 2008 was kicking off the 2nd entry into the golden era with some major style! World at War was received okay, but this mode pushed the game into modern day greatness. Modern Warfare was the beginning, Modern Warfare 2 may be the chapter after, but with these maps, nothing was touching Treyarch here. Nacht Der Untoten was the beginning with the raygun, the wall weapons, mystery box, drops like max ammo, nuke, double points, and more. Verruckt was the scariest map ever made, but introduced the power switch, teddy bears, perk machines like juggernog, quick revive, speed cola, and double tap. Shi No Numa is where the series put on the offensive instead of defensive and introduced the wunderwaffe, hellhounds, and way more. Der Riese or the giant is where it all came together and had the first easter egg in zombies! Enjoy the first video in the series.

I met my best friend to this day in a random online zombie lobby during these infant times of the Internet. We lived states away from one another but day after day of climbing through the zombie levels and Easter eggs made our friendship something you just can't replicate now a days lol

Great video man. Now I have to go play some rounds to scratch the itch. The glitches in each map deserve their own video. I remember that being one of the best things back then. Diving into a corner in Nacht and now zombies just pile up, similar glitch in Verruckt. Also in Verruckt place a bouncing Betty then take a perk, now your hands are empty and you could add another gun to your arsenal. You could get every gun in the box doing this. Lay down in the right spot in one of the teleporters in Der Riese now the rounds just start skipping by. So many more worth mentioning, but these are the most memorable to me.

Dunno if someone has said it already, but one thing i love about the song Easter eggs is excluding Nacht, each death/ ending song is the next Easter egg song. In Nacht, the ending is a snippet of Lullaby of A Dead Man, and Verrukt plays the entirety of it while setting up The One followed by Beauty of Annihilation.
