@@bluetech7128 IMO, Prime D Wade was closer to resembling 1st 3 peat Jordan than Kobe was from an aesthetic & statistical standpoint. Kobe only truly started to resemble 2nd 3 peat MJ, when he changed his number to 24. That's when Kobe started to understand & have the all around game of basketball. But D Wade physique, athleticism, high level efficiency & proficiency when finishing at the rim & from the mid-range & Defense was more Jordan esque. Yes, Kobe tried to mimic Jordan but imo he wasn't as agile, graceful or forceful as D Wade. Other than the 6'6 height Kobe also didn't have quiet the physique as Jordan or D Wade. Kobe overall actually resembles Jordan's predecessor - Elgin Baylor. Kobe just simply had smaller hands, slower first step & lower I.Q.

R.I.P Kobe. I have to come back and appreciate this game. I was only ten back in 2008 but I remember this particular game where both Dwayne and Kobe were monsters. Aside from the tragedy today, I feel fortunate that technologies have developed so much that I can watch Kobe's brilliant performances over and over. Though he's gone, his elegant moves on the court will forever be here.

Miss how physical and personal these battles were we just don’t have the same type of alpha to alpha physical battles anymore. I remember watching these guys go at it simply to be better than the other. Miss this level of competitiveness both these guys were monsters. Same with Carmelo, Bron, KG, Dirk, Tmac , Gilbert arenas all those guys 💪🏽

For those whos saying that Wall or MJ is the best shot-blocking guard... Wade was blocking 7ft guys and he only had one healthy leg in his entire career.

Wade could of easily had an even better overall career... ..had he not suffered so many injuries like he did in 07 and 08 on his shoulder and left knee.. also during the big three era, wade had to miss a string of games throughput the years due to his left knee in particular. A perfect example of his career would be in the 2012 second round playoffs against the pacers.. wade was only 2-13 fg in game 3 had his knee drained afterwards, then scored 30, 28 and 41 points in the next three games all victories. The question is how much better would he have been? We don’t really know..

@@vernellwarren77 exactly bro.. imagine if Kobe's achilles never tore, how much more would he have added to his legacy?? Dude was having one of his best seasons of his career that year!! And on top of that there's just one thing stopping D Wade from having the career that Kobe had... his DRIVE. And fyi, that's not a knock on Wade, cause there's only one person in the HISTORY of the NBA whose drive can even be compared or mentioned in the same breath as Kobe's... and that's Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

ace warren y’all are some haters.. what does kobe even have to do with this thread to begin with? I didn’t even mention his name. Lol Kobe was never held back by injuries like wade. It wasn’t until kobe was 35 yrs old that he suffered serious injuries like fracturing his knee and tearing his Achilles. That was like 3 years before he retired. Before then, he had only missed a few games here and there due to sprains and minor injuries like injuries to his fingers. Wade on the other hand had his left meniscus REMOVED before even stepping foot on the nba court back when he was in Marquette. He even quoted in 2014, “Whatever way you look at it, I'm going into my 11th season, there's lots of guys who haven't made it this far." No one is denying Kobe’s greatness.. yeah wade isn’t the best nba player ever but neither is kobe. Is that why y’all haters mad? Cause he couldn’t surpass mj?? 🤣🤣

The reason why Jordan was healthy compared to Wade and Bryant is that he had hustle players in his entire career built around him Kobe & Dwyane carried their teams for multiple seasons by just being the only star in the team. Both Kobe and Wade missed a lot of games because of injuries This could have changed the narrative so much if they were both healthy
