We lost that game due to a field goal to ruin our perfect season. It went downhill after that. Lot of miracle like games that season for the Vols. Was probably one of the best seasons I've ever experienced as a fan, despite the the 2nd half of the season.

I tried telling people butch Jones was wasting talent. For those who don't know, Kamara was the second string despite being the better player compared to Jalen Hurd. The only reason Kamara got this many touches is Hurd was injured and actually left the UT program shortly after. (Mostly due to Jones himself)

As a Tennessee fan I’m infuriated at how much talent Butch Jones squandered. AK was a 99 overall cheat code and our idiot coach refused to call plays for him to get more than 10-15 touches per game. Not to mention numerous other NFL players on that roster... and we never even won the division. I’d kill to have that talent back today.

I miss these vols, every single one of them except for Butch Jones. How do you take a team projected to finish the season somewhere between 4 and 7 in the rankings and regarded as a playoff dark horse, and then lose to South Carolina AND Vanderbilt to finish the season 8-4? I mean, this was the EXACT same team that erased a 28 point deficit against Florida and had arguably the greatest final two minutes of any game EVER against Georgia. We had the SEC East essentially locked down to a point where you could barely even pry it out of our cold dead hands, and yet somehow, Lyle found a way to ruin it all. And yet despite it all, I'd still take all the heartbreak and disappointment associated with that season 1000 times over before I'd take any of our past three seasons.

This was right after beating Ga.....when Jalen hurd quit on the team. Kamara, literally, took that game over when he was on the field. I always saw the talent before this game, but, even though we lost n OT, A.K. proved he was not just an ordinary rb.
