kinda not surprised that gamefreak had a bunch of "questionable" written story content about humans & pokemon. Apparently it's common for many entertainment companies, even Disney, to have a "secret stash" of more mature, or even straight up adult content of their franchises, even the "family-friendly" franchises. I think it just comes from the fact that if an artist realizes that they can draw/write anything, they will create whatever they want. Better for the companies to just keep it under lock and key than those creators posting it on an alt account somewhere online and people finding out they're company employees. Anything they create relating to the franchise tends to belong to the company anyways even if it's not "canon".

as much as ppl want to say f.u. to nintendo as a company, this to me is a bit much. the community surrounding purposely working together to breach into the company’s data, glorifying hackers like some robinhood is so weird and cringe to me. i get it, as much as i myself am excited for bits of mysterious info, but if you trully love the game, you would atleast respect it to some degree. exposing this huge chunk of data, not even being subtle about it, ruining honest employees lives. who knows one day, someone just decides to wipe every bit of data or corrupting the system. then thats all on everyones hands for nobody condemning these actions

I mean, I don't support the doxxing of the employees, but... No, I don't truly love the game. Loved the games up through 5th gen (which I still have mixed feelings about for various reasons, has some major upsides and major downsides), but the 6th gen was middling, 7th gen had some cool ideas but was a bit of a mixed bag, and gens 8 and 9 were dumpster fires, and TPC is greater than the sum of its parts, in the sense that Gamefreak, Creatures, and now Nintendo themselves are kinda terrible, and are even more terrible when they all come together. Don't really care if there are data breaches, just don't care for some random dude who's just clocking in and clocking out as he chugs away making a meager living getting doxxed. Not cool.

Creativity exercises. Companies that create entertainment products always have creativity exercises for their employees, especially if their employees must constantly create new stuff (in that case, hundreds of new Pokémon every 2 to 4 years), so writing exercises is just one of those. Those stories weren't going to be used, but they still shouldn't have been leaked because they're creative AND development exercises properties from Gamefreak.

Those stories were likely creativity exercises. Plus, a lot of Pokémon are based on creatures from Japanese folklore so it's only natural that some devs wrote short tales replacing the actual folkloric beasts with the Pokémon they created to get represent them correctly. Typhlosion is based on the Tanuki, which can shapeshift, and on its tale it shapeshifted into a hermit, and its Hisui form is obviously meant to illustrate the Tanuki origin. There's nothing shocking about those stories. White people just lost touch with folklore and are too reactionary nowadays.

And the one that talked about humans abd pokemon being very similar in the past and how people and pokemon would marry. Which was also in the game. Shining Diamond and Brilliant Pearl were garbage in terms of remakes. At least when compared to the other remakes in the franchise. Seriously, OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire were not only huge graphical updates, they added new features, included all of the additional content from Emerald, AND added additional content to that content. Let'sGo Pikachu and Eevee took Yellow and made a whole new game out of it. SoulSilver and HeartGold at least included Crystal's content on top of bringing those games into the modern era for the time. FireRed and LeafGreen weren't super ground breaking, but they were also the earliest remakes and were still at least as good as other games released around the same time. So when BDSP was announced, the bare minimum seemed to be graphics on par with X&Y if not Sword&Shield, up to Legends Arceus or even Scarlet&Violet, and that it would include content from Platinum. That's it, that was the bar, X&Y graphics with content from Platinum. So when we got the goofy chibi style and no new content, it was just a slap in the face. The game was a reskin, not a remake, and the new skin was just a poor imitation of the original. The only remake comparable to BDSP is FRLG, the first remakes, and I'd argue those were better. I am not exaggerating when I say I would rather play Platinum than the BDSP remakes. So if Black and White are getting the same treatment from the same people, it might be the first release in the franchise that I skip entirely.

Calm down, Don't worry everyone. Don't let these "Scrapped" Legends Arceus lore ruin your favorite pokemon's reputation. None of it is canon. Even though rejected ideas are not added in the final product, many game developers still keep the Scrapped data stored away. In this case, GF should've deleted them for good☠. 🤔I've heard somewhere that those Scrapped human/pokemon lore are based on Japanese folktales, but with mythological creatures instead of pokemon. If anyone can confirm, let us know.

Good thing the story was poorly translated by A.I. (A.I. can't read kanji very well at all as some of the kanji looks near identical to each other with some minor differences) & someone else who can read Japanese gave it a proper translation. The scrapped Typhlosion folklore was about a woman who got lost in the woods during winter. Typhlosion (disguised as a human hermit) invited the lost woman to his cave to sleep during the winter. The Typhosion did ask the woman to not to look at him while he slept. Eventually the woman realized the man who saved her was a Typhosion and willingly had a child with him. Eventually someone from the woman's village came looking for her saw the Typhlosion & offed him, then took the woman & her child back to the village only for the two to be shunned by the villagers. The mother child duo would howl as they left the village to back to the woods.

The first half of the slakoth story (before the impregnating part) kind of makes sense for Gamefreak though since we already have canon stories about Pokemon abuse like the Slowpoke Tails which are eaten by humans and considered a delicacy. All of the sexual stuff in this leak is wild though and hard to believe that they would even think up stuff like that, let alone think that it might be appropriate to include in official Pokemon lore.

Wood I would love to see you review new games! For example probably my most anticipated game of the year is Sonic x Shadow Generations. There's even a prologue animation Sega released that actually made me cry. The Shadow campaign (a mix between adventure gameplay and boost gameplay in ways) is a completely new game basically bundled with a remastered Sonic generations (Has classic gameplay for act one and modern boost gameplay for act 2) with a rewritten story because the two stories connect. This game basically acts as an entry point to the series because it shows players lots of cool locations from the past as well as quite intricate levels. The doom powers also create even more paths so you can get a better time in your runs. This one game shows how much Sega has learnt from the past and I'm so excited for future sonic games! Finally my two boys Mario and Sonic can stand tall together!!!! Also if you do play I suggest having a box of tissues on standby ._. Hope you get better Wood bye!!!!

The way he puts it together for that story makes so much sense. I think what Game Freak was trying to do is show a story that was before Pokemon became what it was now. It kinda reflects on our world on how badly we treat other living things and even judge other people. We live in a cruel world where bad people do bad things. And also If only Human x Human can make love. Then What if a Pokemon acted so human they wish they was human hm? And you fell in love regardless of what there outward appearance is? There are plenty of reasons not to have a child playing modern Pokemon games, whether it be that they're just poorly made or that they now try to use it to indoctrinate children into the fold of certain demographics that aren't child-appropriate, but those stories that were never put in the games aren't a reason.
