I was pleasantly surprised by this series - it did a great job with ryan character, and balancing his "everyman" vs. his "total awesome" range. Also, have to say the antagonist was very well done - intelligent, driven and methodical - not just a caricature of a "fanatic". Season 2 was good as well - just would have liked to see some consistency in jack's love interest.

My grand uncle (who is 90 now) was a full bird colonel in the South Vietnam army during the Vietnam war. Dude did this on his first date with the prettiest girl at a nearby college. Landed a helicopter on a roof of her building to pick her up. They are an old married couple now. At least that is what I've been told by my dad and uncles
