This was my Glastonbury Moment! Right at the front as I had a gut feeling Bruce would turn up. When he strolled on stage I thought the whole marquee was going to take off. I still get a rush every time I watch this video and I'm 66. You're never too old to rock!!

Great band, great song and when Brian and Bruce share the mike on the first chorus I can't help getting teary eyed. Brian looks like he's got to pinch himself. Beautiful.

Thanks for that. I've seen Bruce 11 times now including three times in the States. I persuaded my wife that 10 days in Florida in March was a good way to start the summer and half way across the Atlantic she guessed I had an ulterior motive. It was then I showed her the tickets I'd scored for Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. Great shows. Great holiday. Great wife!

I love how Brian just doesn't care Bruce gets the lyrics wrong. He's so psyched to be singing with his idol, you can see how happy he is in every chorus, wide eyed, smiling and singing his heart out. I love this :)

This was repeated on Sunday @ Hyde Park Calling, in the afternoon, and was a surprise for most of the audience, with The Boss joining GA, they were the second band on, another great performance, Then in the evening Brian, lead vocals of GA joined Boss & E Strret Band on stage to sing No Surrender ~ WOW just blew the crowd away

Thanks for your comment about age! Bruce is catching me up and I hope he's still going strong for the next decade. I've got my fingers crossed for an acoustic tour of the UK, or how about him joining The Hold Steady or Gaslight Anthem for a smaller venue tour. That would be something else to paraphrase Eddie Cochran.

To everybody bashing on this collaboration, Bruce met them RIGHT before Gaslight's set and said he wanted to do a song and he KINDA knew '59 Sound so they brought him up. This is true music and oh too bad it's not perfect for you but it's perfect for anyone who appreciates what really happened.

@superduper503 Certainly agreeing with that statement when talking about anything from the last two Kings of Leon's LPs which, regrettably, is the only stuff that gets played by them on the radio these days. I miss Molly's Chambers and California Waiting man! I hope The Gaslight Anthem keep it real for American Slang and I think they will. It just sounds so natural.
