The Geologic Oddity in Antarctica; Blood Falls

I am hyperfixated on Antarctica in both its current and prehistoric form. One of my dreams in life is visiting the Victoria and Marie Byrd Lands to see everything, Mount Takahe, the Executive volcanic range, exposed mountain faces to study any residual rock formations and fossilised plant matter (another thing I’m fixated on), blood falls, Mount Erebus and so much more that I want to eventually explore.

One of my most prized possessions is a rock from Mount Erebus. I’m very lucky to know someone who works at McMurdo and was able to get a sample for me. I would love to see it for myself and these blood falls, too.

Could you do a video on a little known volcano in Papua New Guinea called Yelia? The geologic records state it's last major eruption was 18,000 years ago and they don't know if it's erupted since then. The locals however say it last erupted sometime in the 1940's. It has very young lava domes at it's summit with very little vegetation indicating extremely recent activity. It also has weak fumaroles. Definitely way younger than 18,000 years ago. Edit: It was also only just identified as being a volcano in 1963.

@@mikespangler98 He has done a vid just a few weeks ago about such drainage in Alaska where there are zero mines, just naturally occurring minerals near the surface being leeched into the local rivers. I find that really interesting and people always blame humans for everything but this occurs naturally and actually humans improve the area they live in. At least in Europe, which would be a forest monoculture, got a very diverse biome today only due to the millenia of human settlements and changes.

Hello, GeologyHub! Could you make a video about the so called Marie Byrd Land Volcanic Province in Antarctica. I discovered it for myself recently, and i was baffled by the complete absence of attention to it, considering that this volcanic system is supposedly active and pretty large, containing at least 1 large 8-kilometre wide caldera and a few smaller ones ranging from 4 to 5 kilometres in length. I personally think that the aforementioned volcanic province is the least known volcanic system in all of Antarctica as opposed to Mount Erebus and Deception island, and i would like more people to know about it.

There's something bothering me at 3:49, which is the chemical reaction. The conservation of charge is violated: there is an excess of positive charges at the reagents, but there are no charges at the products. What happened?
