The georgeous Veluwe, a rare cab ride: Beekbergen - Dieren - Arnhem Nostalgie Express SSN 7/5/2022

While they were visiting the Arnhem Open Air Museum, we drove to Beekbergen, where we turned the locomotive at the depot of the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij, took water and topped up with coal for the return journey. In this film you can see how we drive the train back to Arnhem from the depot. Cabview Holland Spotter VIPS have again made beautiful recordings so that you can also see the train passing by from the side. The credits can be found below.

We hebben eerder deze dag honderden passagiers van Rotterdam naar Arnhem gebracht. Terwijl zij een bezoek brachten aan het Openluchtmuseum Arnhem, reden wij naar Beekbergen, waar we op het depot van de Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij de loc hebben gedraaid, water hebben genomen en kolen bijgevuld voor de terugrit. In deze film zie je hoe we vanaf het depot de trein terugrijden naar Arnhem. Cabview Holland Spotter VIPS hebben weer prachtige opnamen gemaakt zodat jij de trein ook vanaf de kant kunt zien voorbijstomen. De credits vind je hieronder.

A truly beautiful look at the train in such a magnificent surrounding... a troubled Europe with war and the EU bickering and dissolving. Inside the georgeous Veluwe dining car, a rare view, no, let's call it a micro-barometer, of the problem. ... I'd like the steak. No, I'd like it rare. ... LATER. Quite by accident, really. It was hidden under a sprig of parsley. ... and so, we see that the absolute best platform in which to enjoy the old steam train ride continues to be with a coffee and powdered donuts at home here in Colonia Centro Histórico. Mooie rit door de Veluwe. Indrukwekkende snelheid van Dieren naar Arnhem. Hoe snel was dat ? Ook jammer vond ik dat de loc. "achteruit" reed, was niet z'n mooier gezicht voor de spotters.

Dat kan helaas niet anders. Op de vrije baan rijdt deze loc 80 km/u achteruit.
