1960's Clint Eastwood yeah, after he lost his leg they were trying to make something for him at the hospital and working with him on it but everything was too heavy to do continuously or without pain. His dad had the idea for what he uses now from the start. When Andrew was ready to quit his dad built it and gave it to him without telling him he was building it for him and the rest is history. Its great to see when people react to metal they can sense the emotion in words. Typical normies just think its screaming words with no meaning. When you pay attention, most of these songs have a rather deep meaning to them that alot of us metal heads relate to. Great reaction. I'm here for more of these reactions. Keep it lit!🔥🔥🔥

Metalcore, but they refer to theirselves as hardcore, which is not related to metal as it is it's own genre made of no genres. Even though some of the hardcore community hates calling them hardcore, after this accident, they paid their dues and can have the title. Metals got too many elitists, better to be part of the hardcore stage, not the one stage thats shared with slipknot. Theres no PMA in that shit, fuck metal.

The accident they were involved in was during the touring cycle for their last album ( Dear Youth ) right after it dropped. The drummer's story is quite amazing. There is a video series where his rehab documented his recovery and how they helped him play the drums again. He lost his leg, was in a coma, had extensive nerve damage and spinal damage.
@mkulanator4 жыл бұрын
that was an awesome series! My buddy and I made it out to LA for their comeback concert last summer. 2/3rds of the way through after spending most of time in the mosh pits, I finally crowd surfed to the back. had to walk around the back end of the crowd to get back to where I was. Anyways, while I was making my way back, the drummer, Andrew's dad picked me out from the crowd because I was wearing a white Detroit Red Wings jersey. They're from Michigan. So i was able to shake the man's hand and express how incredible of a feat his son has accomplished to be where he is, not that he didn't already know that. But felt honored to shake his hand that night.

Bro, this one has to be the best reaction you did ever. The song hits hard like a mule. I am a 6.4, 135 kilo, 26 years old bearded dude and I cried like a baby the first time I saw this video, and I didn’t know the band before this video. But you can totally feel all the frustration, anger, anxiety and insecurity they had during that hiatus and more than that - you can see the will to live, to overcome everything life throws at them and with the line “the beat goes on” they are saying that it’s not over yet, they rise and shine. That’s why I freaking love metal. Not many songs are able to tear me up but this one cracked me up like a baby. Even now I am writing this with a lump in my throat and tear running down my cheek. Very powerful message and amazing song. And a 2 lit reaction! Keep up the good work.

The thing I love the most about your work dude, is that you came into our world with such an open mind. While the majority of people are laughing at us.. Or hating on our music. If you still have tears in stock, you should listen to architects: Gone with the wind, or just the whole Holy Hell album, made with texts let behind by Tom the bassist who died from cancer and was the twin brother of the drummer.. Or doomsday (original and then the acoustic piano version), a wasted hymn (same original and then acoustic) with such a fu****g powerful voice 🙏 they've made a small movie about their journey too, called Holy Ghost and it is a masterpiece.. Linkin park live : one more light (after Chris Cornell death... Chester's scream... Same kind of vibes) I can go one for a list long enough to get you dehydrated in a day... Metalcore is more than screams, heavy riffs and breakdown, it is equal to classic opera drama songs but made in a modern era.. It will help millions more if these bands were put on air in more popular mainstream media and I thank you for doing this with your channel.. At least it will educate people to listen to good songs with true meaning others than "bitches, drugs, money, clubs..." If you don't want tearing songs but still meaningful : While She sleeps, fakers plague ! You'll have the other side of emotions and will definitely need a motocross neckbrace to keep your head on your shoulders ahahahah 🤘 thank you again, hoping to see one of those on your channel soon

Damn dude your hitting me with one of my all time favorites! When they were in that accident back in 2014 it was a few days before any news outlet even gave any details of the accident. All they said was “the ghost inside in fatal accident” and I was torn apart. I don’t want to sound unsympathetic for the two drivers who lost their lives, it’s still an awful tragedy that I wish never happened in the first place and it’s still two families who never got to see their loved ones again. But TGI’s music has always been one of the few things to be able to pull me out of some dark places. I still can’t listen to their song “engine 45” without tearing up. Fun facts; The song was written before the bus crash. It was written with the thought of it being a smaller song on their next album. Fast forward up until now, it's their first single release and album announcement. Some minor details or switched and changed after the crash, but for the most part according to the band, written before the mess. The picture and concert scenes at the end is from their comeback performance in july 2019 at The Shrine in Los Angeles. They weren't sure they would ever play again. Took a couple years of decision making and planning. But they're back at it! That concert was legendary.

"I'd like to think I'd never cave in, a vicious battle I may never win. I'd like to think I'd come out stronger... Life's swing hard but I'm swinging harder." -The Ghost Inside You should do a reaction video to their live video of Mercy is you haven't yet. Talk about chills.

I've been a TGI fan for years. Their music has been tremendously impactful for me and hits me hard in the feels. When this video dropped and I watched it for the first time, I cried. Preordered their album. I'm so fucking proud of them.
