Why do people judge a band by instrumentals? Who cares if it's "easy"? I judge by lyrical meaning and quality. If I can relate than I will more than likely love the band and song. One of the best off the album. Love this band!

The more these guys progress as musicians, the more the critics come out and the hive-mind shifts from one of liking to one of critiquing. I've loved these guys since A Dying Dream and I personally think they're just developing a new sound and I still get chills when I hear their new material. Too dope, keep up the good shit TGI see you December 7th!

"Your eyes followed me here" haha. Hella sounds like Silhouette by Thrice. Oh well, still an awesome song. Saw them at the Fillmore in SF, wearing my SJ Sharks sweater (not a jersey!), and of course Vigil wore his LA Kings crap, along with some other fans who attended the show. It made for a nice Nor Cal vs. So Cal rivalry in the pit, nice and brutal! haha Lots of fun, wish they would've played this song though.

For anyone wondering in an interview he said the lyrical content was going to be a little different than past records. Which is why the lyrics in the album are a little darker yet inspirational at the same time.

This song hits me like a freight train. Feeling so lost and defeated in life, exasperated by the fact that there's no path to guide me. I feel like TGI put into words everything I'm feeling with this song here. It helps,I guess, just to know I'm not alone in my torment.

Woah, just checked out Thrice's Silhouettes, and With The Wolves DOES sound very much alike to Silhouettes. I've heard a few songs from Thrice and I liked them, but wasn't really into their music as a whole, as opposed to TGI. In any case, both bands are talented in their own ways!

+Carl Llamas exactly the only reason why they think that metal heads or people who just like this music like me is because they think its bad for us like its all about death and destruction to all people, when there are some songs out there about someones family member or really close friend well u get the point. For example from this bands first album "Get What You Give" the song white light Jonathan the lead singer wrote this song for his brother that FAILED TO WAKE UP! that meant that he died as u can tell from this example it's not all bad in real life most metal bands that u meat or see on a talk show thing are pretty nice. But ya I agree with ur comment bro! P.S it takes more effort to play this music then all the celebrity music with all the audio music instead of doing it old fashion like these guy's.

What a shitty ripoff of Thrice's Silhouette
@Chrisboxify
@Chrisboxify 8 жыл бұрын
So I went and listened to thrice since that's all yall keep talking about. Same intro sure, but Silhouette is a garbage song. The vocals/drums/chorus of this song are far superior and of course it goes without saying the production on this song is far superior. Other than the intro I don't get where you guys are pulling this shit from, that song sounds absolutely horrid compared to this.
@dominikhanus9320
@dominikhanus9320 8 жыл бұрын
Are you kidding me, without thrice these guys wouldn't probably make music they make, Thrice's intro sounds much better, their overall playing is tighter and stronger, their drummer is beast compared to drummer of TGI, production on Silhoutte sounds amazing on 2003, and mainly you can't compare these two when it's totally different style of the song plus dustin kensrue is one of the most memorable vocalists in Post hardcore. The point that you can say that song from one of the most influential albums from 2000s is garbage, just shows that your music knowledge is certainly not the best. Plus TGI are enjoyable but generic as fuck, so nobody even cares if they steal songs from good artists
@dominikhanus9320
@dominikhanus9320 8 жыл бұрын
+Nitsua Notoc yes they certainly are in other league, they are generic metalcore, that nobody will remember in 10 years. I don't really think TGI is bad in any way, they are certainly not garbage as Attila or Asking alexandria for example, but their playing is just not original or just spectacular in any way, even for metalcore, these guys are just nothing with comparison to bands like The dillinger escape plan, converge, everytime i die..etc... thrice is probably one of the most influential post hardcore bands of all time, i am not even that much of a fan of their discography, but Vheissu, illusion of safety and artist are classics, and they are what youre supposed to know before you even get to music like TGI, because if your listening to new metalcore without knowing the roots, you will probably never get the meaning of what generic metalcore is... you can easily find shit ton of bands sounding like tgi, find me bands that sound like any of the bands i've called out in my metalcore

Hahahaha TGI better than thrice. This is a half ass overproduced version of a band that is pretty good ripping off a 1000% more talented band. For starters the drums on this sound like any shitass sample from a run of the mill radio band and the guitars are the same. Dont compare mice to gods, you're embarrassing yourselves you fucking amateurs.

The Ghost Inside has given a song that has just severely gotten on my nerve. I guess they are like almost all of society thinking wolves are enemies. Wolves feel that they are more of the enemy! They have got some serious fuckin' nerve!! Wolves we're never evil, but they want to act like every other crackhead thinking that bullshit of a statement!!! And bringing in a fake figure and basically putting a prayer to "god", they are part of the society that believes in a terrorist, which I do not even go near to!! They better Learn that wolves are not the enemy... PEOPLE ARE!!!!!
