14:19 They did dedicate it to Harold Ramis at the end credits and they had a head Bust in the movie of him in the background. They also dedicated it to him again in Afterlife

It's such a shame what Ghostbusters Frozen Empire did, it made Phoebe Spangler into an idiot and slightly unlikeable, and they made Paul Rudd's character Gary Geooberson unlikable.... They watered down Walter Peck for some reason, hell i don't know what he's even doing here or why he's mayor...the villain, great on paper. Horribly executed...there were too many characters in the film as well that it had to balance out... Finally too many subplots that amounted to nothing of importance

Yeah definitely, and it’s a shame given how much I liked Afterlife.

@StupidBeagleReviews Afterlife was made by someone who cared (the original directors son) which in a way kind reminds me a lot of how Mel Brook's son Max Brooks went on to write the famous novel World War Z.... Side note I'd like ur opinion (we'll besides ur thought on that fact I just dropped) do u think it was a shame they didn't do anything with the villian? When the trailers made him seem like he was gonna be the massive end all be all type world threat

@@jarrodedson5441 He was just kind of a boring big cgi monster lol. I feel like Gozer was a lot more interesting. The idea that Gozer comes back over the span of many years, and they’re actually a humanoid creature with interesting lore made them a fun villain. The whole keymaster thing is also really fun and wacky, I didn’t even cover that in the video. I don’t even remember what this villain’s name was, he’s just the ice guy to me. So forgettable.

@StupidBeagleReviews the villain name was Garraka, side note I'll disagree a bit that was and still is my least favorite part of Afterlife i loved the first 2 acts of the movie but as soon as that cop said who u gonna call....that's when the film fell flay for me...I don't like they reused the same villian from the original, it lacks in originality....I did however love the ending ending where the trio show up and the good byes to Harold Ramis, but one thing doesn't sit well with me maybe u can explain, Ray said to Phoebe on the phone Egon took all their tthings right? So how's it they appeared a the end of the movie with there gadgets and suits? Also try explaining this to me why all a sudden would Ray and the others not believe a word egon said? Ray said he can rot...but go back and watch tbe original both Ray and Egon were full delivers, Ray belived everything Egon said...so why now would Ray be like ohh pffft Egon ur dumb ur making no sense, stop making no sense u idiot....it'd out of character

@@jarrodedson5441 I think those points are valid. It's hard to say why Ray didn't believe Egon, they kind of gloss over that quickly in the movie. Maybe Jason Reitman had more of an explanation in mind, but had to cut it for time, I'm not sure. I think it's kind of just something you have to make a head-canon for. I also just assumed Egon took almost everything, but some stuff was left over, and that's what the living Ghostbusters were using at the end. I think your issues are understandable and completely fair, but I personally feel like if they overdid the explaining, it would affect the pacing. Some things are fine to be left to our imagination, but that's just my take.

I grew up in the 1980’s and with the cartoon series.. I am a fan of all things GH🚫STBUSTERS.. but I love part 1 & 2 and don’t care much for 2016 , Afterlife felt very different from the first two films and is the closest thing to a Ghostbusters III movie we will get. But it’s not particularly interesting or a funny funny movie and Frozen 🥶 Empire just was so messy that the ideas 💡 put into that didn’t gel well or had time to breathe and to me as a 40+ year GB Fan felt let down and fear for the future of the franchise, let alone I am getting tired of family ghostbusters 🤦♂️

Ngl growing up in the 90s, I personally found the ghostbusters cartoon the only good thing about the franchise. Still feel that way today, honestly- and I did give them a try, at least.

I'm gonna be real: if the 2016 movie sucks, then so do the originals. I'm mostly saying this as a person that avoided the movies until I was an actual adult- and I gotta be real fam it's not just that it didn't age well, the comedy of ghostbusters just at best is boring and at worst actively bad. I've heard better things about the two movies that came out more recently, and my friends have said they enjoyed the new ones more than the originals- but in my opinion, the first three (regardless of how you feel about the genderbending in 2016 version) are just movies. Not great movies, just. Put on while you have a high fever and are too blitzed on cough medicine to tell what's actually funny or not. Edit: Separate note just in case you decide you wanna grow as a person: saying 'lol I watched Barbie' is not the feminist 'I'm not sexist' calling card you think it is.

That’s fine if you feel that way, but I feel like I had legit points as to why I prefer the original films over the 2016 one. Not sure if you watched the whole video, but I feel like I was fair. The humor is a completely different style than the originals, and that’s either going to work for you or it’s not, and it didn’t work for me. The gender swapping isn’t the issue.

I guess if you think I’m sexist, I can’t stop you. I think you’re making that assumption based on one video without actually knowing me. Maybe I should’ve phrased the Barbie thing better, I do actually really love that movie and haven’t mentioned it in a video, so I wanted to take the opportunity to do so. I also wanted to point out the difference, with it actually being a film about womanhood directed by a woman, while the 2016 one is a man, and it’s not a very empowering film like Barbie is. If women find the 2016 film empowering, good for them, I think I also said in the video that I’m happy for anyone who enjoys the movie. I made actual points as to why I feel the way I do about each film, and those points had nothing to do with the genders of the characters, and I even stated that the gender swap idea had potential. I can’t change your perspective, all I can do is give mine.
