One suit of armour. One fearsome steed. One lance, unbroken. One ghostly adversary, and one moonlit night.

If anything good has come from lockdown in my own, personal daily life, it's that I've had more time to binge on English Heritage, Townsends, Bernadette Banner, Prior Attire, Absolute History and other historical lifestyle & diy channels. I'm ready to find a homestead and live off the land in the manner of my ancestors now. Except with WiFi, because I still want to watch KZbin.

I would love to see a video that features Lady Braybrooke, the (purely fictional) storyline being that Mrs. Crocombe had fallen ill with fever. Lady Braybrooke, who is very fond of Mrs. Crocombe, ensured she'd received the best medical care. At the time of the video, we are told that Mrs. Crocombe is thankfully getting better, and shall be back in the kitchens in no time. In this video, Lady Braybrooke would say that she had 'Whispered to the Lord for advice on how to show Mrs. Crocombe her deepest gratitude for her hard work for her and her family and guests, and happiness that her health was on the mend'. She would hold up a letter she had received in the post, and she would say 'And the Lord has whispered back.' In the letter she received, from one of her many friends in America that she corresponds with regularly, tells her of how some of her friend's servants and even her friend herself had fallen ill, and said friend had found that one of the best things that one can eat to get one's strength back after an illness was a hearty chicken soup, with the recipe included. "Something my mother has always told me is that 'The best way to show someone love, gratitude, warmth and appreciation for their work and devotion is to feed them something you've made with your own hands." She then makes the chicken soup for Mrs. Crocombe and takes it to her rooms herself. (Maybe even have a visit from Lord Braybrooke, who is also fond of Mrs. Crocombe...doing what most husbands do when their wife is cooking: trying to pick at the food as she's trying to cook, and getting fwapped away). I know this idea might sound silly for some, but I just REALLY want to meet Lord and Lady Braybrooke.
