Glad to see Colombian food on this channel! I admit that traditional stuffed arepas don't include things like bacon or so many toppings but usually have shredded chicken or pork and less sauces and easier to manage. The perro caleno is pretty similar however they make it pretty extra in this video,the sancocho looks spot on.

I’m from Colombia, and I would recommend you try “sancocho” and “ajiaco” they’re DELICIOUS. Arepas are tasty as well, they’re usually eaten by themselves, not in a hamburger.

La Moon is great!!! Yes everything over the top! Emily is serving new tastes of Colombia but still has the original taste of the past. All those foods looked wonderful! I like taking stuff home and eat it the next day. I deconstruct meaning the Arepa burger take all cold things off the burger on a plate cover refrigerate tgen heat burger and cheese in microwave tastes the same as when you were having the experience at the restaurant so i can have the burger in 2 days!!! The all in one corn dish you had no cause it's mixed together. Anything like stews, burgers, etc you can. Looked like you enjoyed Emily's new take on Colombian food!!!

I lived in Colombia for a few years and owned and operated a local fast food restaurant. We sold local versions of this stuff by the truckloads. It's cartoon food....looks delightful and fun...taste like a joke after you eaten it a few times when you yearn for some quality food not covered in crappy cheap sauces. They put 3-5 different types of [cheap, low quality, industrial manufactured] sauces on the hot dogs and hamburgers to mask the poor quality dogs and meats. I don't miss 90% of this crap. I do miss the Aji PIcante & sancocho al dia.

Street foods in Colombia are crazy but the food we eat every day is very nice, we have a mix of caribbean, african, and spanish foods that gave our food a complex flavor, you just have to go to the right places to actually taste Colombian flavors
