Some gift cards have something called “inactivity fee” where they will take a percentage of the money off the card each year it is not used. So depending on how old that card was that’s why the amount on the back was different!

worker at ardene here- we don’t do the inactivity fee (any old cards will be reissued with its full balance). there’s a good chance it was just previously used and the new balance wasn’t written down :)

In Canada, gift cards don’t have inactivity fees. Only prepaid cards do (such as prepaid Mastercard, visa, etc)

In germany you can only use gift cards in the time of 3 years after that they are practically useless and the money on them is gone if the store doesn't set another time limit

@HeyitsTaylorXOXO: I think aredenes Is on the hunt for more inclusive clothing materials so I think it’s just their Material for clothing also a lot of materials probably Aren’t easy to get\find for certain body types we aren’t all built the same way for body types. Also people can be allergic to things like wool…etc… aka certain materials and certain materials Aren’t meant to be stretchy…etc… also alot materials could be comfortable to other people but not to someone else. Like my work made our work shirts stupidly out of mesh material or whatever and only in short sleeves and it’s not even good to wear it in the winter nor the summer time and the material isn’t stretchy and it makes it hard to layer it with anything long sleeved in the winter time. Also stuff is just getting more worse for quality they don’t make stuff like they use to like our garage door batteries we had for our old garage door opener key pad we’d had to keep changing out the batteries almost 24/7 to get our garage door to open up. Also people Can still outgrow clothing. Plus there are other clothing stores with more comfortable clothing.

When you were talking about how you’re apparently supposed to pronounce Ardene I heard a bit of a more French pronunciation so I looked it up and apparently Ardene is from Montreal in Quebec. So the way you are apparently supposed to say it is still wrong but sounds closer to the original name in French. Since you are English Canadian, there’s nothing wrong with pronouncing it in the English way. Just in case you want to know, in French it’s pronounced Aar-den
