So mature for his age, what an amazing person he has already become. Breaks your heart seeing him tear up when taking about not feeling wanted. Great great teacher and dad.

Wonderful story. There is a Go Fund Me page set up to help Finn Lanning & Damien. Teacher's don't make much so I'm sure any help would be appreciated. We need more people like this in the world.

Finn Lanning just posted an update to the go fund me page that was started to help pay for Damien’s new kidney. He reports Damien is doing great, his new kidney is working, and after a few months of recovery is back at school and making new friends. ❤️ Finn is a real life hero. 💙

This story never gets old. Its stories like this where a child gets a permanent home are always the best....they all deserve a home, a family that loves them and shows it. Awesome to hear Damien got his new kidney. Gotta love 'em even if you aren't their blood. A not well known country artist has an awesome song that fits right in with these stories. Elvie Shane's "My Boy"....kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWalfJeeaaiih5o. Since Elvie did his video many have recently popped up with adoptive parents using Elvie's song showing off their adopted son or daughter....I could watch them all day long, love the happy endings, but realize there are still thousands that never get that chance and they age out of the system without ever having that forever home, without ever having a family, a place to call home, a mom & dad or just a mom or dad to love them, someone to come home to after school every day.

its a nice story but a cautionary tale - we can't approach a systemic issue by relying on individual kindness. This situation is unique but there are so many foster kids who need permanent home because their birth parents can't adequately care for them and these families tend to be resource poor and low income. We need to provide more resources to these families as a system.

I made a decision today: I am no longer going to pay attention to any article that shows our current President ranting, raving, name calling and spreading ripples of hatred and negativity. Instead, I'm gong to make a daily practice of watching On the Road and other videos that show the goodness, the greatness of spirit that still exists among the people of this nation because if ripples of antagonism and animosity can be dispersed, then so can waves of positivity, harmony, and good will. And although anything I do will surely not be on the level of this caring man, I'll do what I can to promote and take part in activities to foster those waves. Have a wonderful evening, everyone!

Why would you make this about politics? You need to work on your issues.....
@bophreyhumgart29534 жыл бұрын
@@welks821 Trump himself makes everything about politics--or don't you pay attention to what's happening in this country? And this person DID work on her issues. She made a decision not to support or even listen to negativity and divisiveness and focus on positivity instead. What's your problem with that, WH?

This kid has personality PLUS. I'll adopt him if that's what HE wants, I mean, he HAS a biological family, sometimes they get pushed out of the picture as if some of them don't want him but in reality they are gutted by losing touch (I'm one of them)... #EthicalFosterCare #EthicalAdoption
