What does fishing line mean? Like queue of items you are going to fish out of the water?

@@v1t_lev79 Fishing lines are the line and the bobber (the red and white thing at the hook). Grian has found that if you leave and relog you can get multiple of them. You can still only fish with one of them and it gets confusing to look at so it just makes it harder to fish. So he does it purely for comedic effect.

For those plants, how about this name - Mercapts. This refers to the word ‘mercaptan’ which is the scientific name for a certain group of organic sulfur compounds. There’s clearly two species here - the one with the melon and the one with the pumpkin so, lets have the melon be the “Striped Mercapt, scientific name ‘Thiolcumis viridens’,” and the pumpkin be the “Golden Mercapt, scientific name ‘Thiolcumis aureum’”. The genus name Thiolcumis comes from the word ‘thiol’ which is the greek word for sulfur and an alternative name for mercaptans, and cumis- which comes from the scientific name for cucumbers/melons - cucumis melo (which are closely related to gourds/pumpkins, which are the species cucurbita pepo), so it basically translates to ‘sulfur melon’

It would be so cool if later in the season you rigged the sulfer pits with skulk sensors and lingering potions of poison, so whenever somebody walks into a sulfer pit they start to take damage. Plus the particle effects would bring a little extra to the detail

I love this idea, you wouldn't even have to go into the pit, just walking close to the pits could set off the sensors to release some sort of illness potion. Lol the deeper into the pits as your landscape develops add blindness or something. Maybe orange is dangerous and green is healing or something else positive.

I was thinking this too. 2 doors with a tunnel in the middle. That way you could come in, clear the toxic air from outside, and pump in fresh O2 before removing your gear. Great idea Ren!! Love the GIGA hut!!!

The minister is somehow using all of the assets of the neighborhood for administrative costs - oh the scandal...

The name should be some sort of alliteration . Log Lackeys, Log Lords, Log Lads. Logarithm (Log Rhythm) could work too. Log leakage should probably not be considered.

hello Ren i love the whole idea of the hut and landscape, i think that the Spore blossom on top of the plants, or one of the two new sniffer flowers. Could work quite nice in your custom GIGACORPtm landscape as an Alien flower thingy.

You should have a single giant version of the trees, like you’d get with a 4-sapling tree, but it’s just a single tall stripped birch log with tons of the smaller branches. It could be behind your Gigahut, acting as shade and cover for your home.

I started watching hermitcraft with Mumbo and his end table build. I used to watch everyone, every episode. Since then I've had two kids and life has changed. I am so excited for this season though. Both kids are now in school so I have a little bit of free time to actually sit and watch like I used too. This has been the best start for everyone and I am so excited to be able to watch from the beginning and not a week or two late like I have been the last several seasons.

Lovin the custom Biome, especially the Sulfur shrubs. Chopping the top corners off the new trees might give them a more organic look without losing that "alien" vibe. Cant wait to see more builds in this style Ren :D

Love the bas so far Ren! I think because you have an orange puddle for the sulfur you could also have a green one for the other plants there as well as green frog lights (although they are hard to get) as if they have sprouted from the smaller plants.

I love the custom fruit bearing bushes, suggestion for them is that the fruit starts green (melon) then ripens to orange (pumpkin) before becoming luminescent (ochre frog light) I think they’d look really cool with the lichen on the outside and give some ambience. You could even have a droid operated farming operation for them

You can texture the trunks of those custom trees with the stripped bamboo fences, and you can add more shape variety with the fence gates. Additionally you could make the leaves part a bit more rectangular as you add more
