Woah, woah, woah... don't go for the 911 operator here. I've heard enuf inept 911 operators for sure, but what 95% of people have heard, is the succinct, dramatic splinter of am almost 10 min long call. Please, go online to hear the entirety of her call before you shoot the messenger. God bless, Shannan Gilbert, and the other victims, but she had no idea where she was, she was eerily incoherent, and didn't sound terrified until the very end. It's tragic and yet bizarre also, to hear the uncut call.

The way she told Shannon she couldn't Tracey her. Goes through me Everytime. If she was attacked during her call. Then what happened fgs how is she not connected. N her driver was disgusting to me. He just didn't connect IMO. I need answers like everybody else. This is just bananas. The hell happened to her. I'm so sick of evil n the reality. That so many get away with the worse. I really am. Hats off to the Crime Commissioner who put together a task force to do in six weeks what his predecessors couldn't in 13 years. If every Town, City and State had a man like him at the helm of Law Enforcement, crime would go down and solve rates up. He's the man to thank for this. The commissioner during the murders was super corrupt and didn’t want the media attention anywhere nearby, rejecting FBI assistance. If Rex is guilty and killed others in the other states he owns property in (and if the other bodies found in the area are tied to him), that’s such a shame. It all could have been prevented.
@WelshChappie
@WelshChappie 10 ай бұрын
@@heather3383 it was more so former Police Chief James Burke, who the former commissioner appointed so yeah you wouldn't have got one without the other. Many claim Burke and the former commissioner were involved in the serial killings hence turning away the Feds etc. It wasnt that they were involved in the murders, i don't think so anyway, but Burke refused FBI assistance because he was shady. If the Feds come in and start poking around in such a high profile case, He knew they'd find things he didn't want them finding. But not to do with the Gilgo murders. As you said and I agree, the Gilgo murders and the other victims that may or may not be attributable to Rex,.they were just collateral damage in James Burke's corruption conspiracy.

Just remember: Nearly all the information Suffolk law enforcement needed was available a dozen years ago, but then-Police Chief James Burke, plus the DA who got Burke the job, Thomas Spota, and Spota's investigator, Chris McPartland, all three were corrupt as hell. The entire Suffolk PD was a total mess for years as a result. And yes, that helped the serial killer get away with this until now. Think about the roommate who managed to describe the "ogre" and his unusual vehicle - and no one did anything about it for well over a decade. Just unbelievable. All the credit to the current ones who solved it in six weeks. As to James Burke, Thomas Spota and the rest? Shame on them. I also feel bad for all the investigators who badly wanted to solve this case years ago but were stopped by James Burke and the rest of that bunch.

I see sociopathy as an illness. Society doesn’t realize that these illnesses are actually avoidable if children are brought up correctly. There is not enough awareness on personality disorders like sociopathy. A huge part of mental illness comes from childhood. Sociopathy is one of those where children are very sensitive to begin with and they don’t get their increased affection needs met, and it gets terribly worse with trauma. The severe lack of empathy and manipulativeness is a hallmark of a protection mechanism because of those early negative experiences (since no one loves me and the world is dark i need to protect myself with being a monster and hurting others). Sociopaths are like little children emotionally and they often live in a type of fantasy where they are strong and can protect themselves ruthlessly.

Its comparable to the _hairdresser_ who's hair is always a mess, the _manicurist_ who's nails look as if theyve been bitten down to the bone, and the _butcher_ who never brings any meat home for his family. We could go on and on regarding professions and the people behind them. I used to work for a billionaire once --- for his Company basically; I was the _Receptionist_ at the front lobby of the Company to be precise. I had never actually SEEN my _boss/employer_ nor knew his actual name. I had only been there a little under a month. Then, one day, this short ( _5' 5"_ ) middle aged man w/ sunglasses, wearing a wrinkled Hawaiian shirt, worn out cargo shorts, looking as if he had been sleeping in them for weeks, sandals that looked as if he had walked the DESERT in, and hair like Einstein all over the place, walked up to the front desk, took his sunglasses off and looked at me directly asking: _"Youre new here sweetie arent you? Are they treating you well? Are you happy w/ the Company?"_ I was really taken aback by his overall appearance, especially in such an environment, in such a building, and for a split second, I thought he was *homeless* and maybe, slightly .... _mentally ill_ --- so, I simply smiled politely and replied that, yes, I was very happy w/ the Company and that I was being treated very well. At that very moment, one of the Top Executives appeared and walked up to him with a big smile on his face, extended his hand to greet the man, saying _"Nice to see you Mr. Smith ( not his actual name of course ), would you prefer your office or mine?"_ and OFF they went, up to his office on the top floor of the building. When I was ready to leave at the end of that day, I bumped into that Executive, and politely asked him _"Who was that man earlier today at the front desk that you greeted?"_ and he looked at me and smiled, saying: _"That my dear girl is your employer ---- and mine."_ I was young at the time, barely 18, and it was my 2nd job in the big city of NY --- but after that day, I learned to *never judge a book by its cover* and that people are never truly what they _appear_ to be. I've seen and met several _rich_ people during the course of my life after that, who could be mistaken as _homeless_ or _poverty stricken_ simply based on their _external appearance_ ; and I have learned that those who are truly SUPER WEALTHY dont walk around making a _display_ of their wealth, but are rather very _low key_ and prefer to be _invisible and inconspicuous_ instead. ✌

Calm down. Nobody said she was "crazy". It was said she probably was high on drugs - and if that was indeed the case, it's absolutely feasible that she ran into the marshes in the dark and died from exposure. Note that she spoke of "people" who were "after her". Not one person, but multiple. This could be a sign of psychosis (=/= "crazy"), which can ocur with drug abuse. Also, police did search for her, it's not like nobody was sent out there.

It’s not their responsibility they can say it till they’re blue in the face, they can encourage it, they can do tough love hoping that will change them. There was nothing in it I mean it was full of a bunch of stuff that all there was was like a lounge chair folded out like a and someone use that to sleep in, you know like a stretch out bar lounger but the rest of the place was full of crap that’s the house he grew up in you think a guy that’s making over 100,000 something a year all of his money went into 300s spending on prostitutes she had to know where the finances were going or there were more like a roommate situation or he’s just supporting them and why would your daughter 28 years old almost almost 30 living at home still I left home when I was 19. I understand the sun has some disabilities but I mean I just don’t understand why would you be that old and you’re still living at home with your parents? Well it’s expensive to live in New York just like here in California but that woman knows way way more but the house was for someone who’s an architect. Did you see how crappy his house was there was like brand new wood beam just holding up the front porch and my sister is retired cop and I said why would he live like that? she goes because his priority is where elsewhere his money was spending his sex habit spending money on burner phones they confiscated like 40 different phones like 45 phones or something burner phones like 10 laptops just a bunch of stuff they pulled out of his house just recently, but yeah the wife I think knows way more. It's the saying of the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. Fee fi fo fum. I smell the blood of an Englishman. Be he alive or be he dead I'll grind his bones to make my bread. This was my sister and mines favorite fairy tale. But we were scared of that giant! Lol. And Rex Heurmann is very scary too!

Strange story. Even if Shanon was high on something, how did she end up in the middle of nowhere running for her life and then suddenly drowning? And who are “they” that she was referring to? Even if she drowned accidentally, she was running from someone, and from multiple someones judging from her call.

Reviewing the footage, the bath tub was actually cut open and the floor was ripped up in the bathroom. The garage door was also destroyed. However, I do get the point. We are not allowed to speak any ill of victims in criminal cases. Even if they are not proven innocent to begin with. I do think that if somebody puts all of you possessions in your living room, you likely will look like a hoarder. If that is the case, of course.
