It never ceases to amaze me how you keep coming up with great stuff. This is one hell of a great solo performance. And your sunshiny happy nature make it a real pleasure to follow your teaching.

Im not sure how it is that you have high-quality in depth tutorials for all the songs I happen to look up but you best believe I'm appreciative 👍👍

I've accumulated quite an amount of tutoriaks 😊. Around 200. Chances are I've done the song you're searching for already 😁. Type the song name plus guitarversum into the YT search box, if you want to know if I did a certain song already. Keep swinging 🎶 🎸

The chord progression is pure genius. About 20 years ago a guitar teacher from Italy showed me the observation that in the B section you can repeatedly switch from the ionian or aeolian mode to the lydian b7 mode by changing just one note. Awesome. Thank you for your great videos, that I only discovered yesterday. I subscribed! 😎

No one “explains” what they are teaching better than you. This is an excellent tutorial. Mixo#11 to the rescue!! When our full band plays this, I comp the solo beneath a trumpet. Watching this makes me want to tell him what to play. Haha - but we guitar players have to be careful to not over step our bounds, plus - he can’t do octaves😂. Loads of good tidbits in here. Well done, as always, Sandra😄
@GuitarversumSandraSherman2 жыл бұрын
Hehe 😊 I'd be wary of the well-intentioned advice. That trumpet could become a deadly weapon 😁

Sounds so good, Sandra so : I'll do my best to grab the maximum I can from this great lesson. But of course, the cart must not be placed before the horses, meaning I have to begin with this other video you made months ago (chords and easy comping). Anyway...THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA, here I come ! Ha, ha...
@GuitarversumSandraSherman2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you're going out the tough way! Chords and melody first, and understanding the song, THEN the solo is easier. You go, boy from Ipanema 😊👍

What a beautiful and creative solo arrangement. It is packed with great phrasing, including an excellent mixture of octaves and chromatics. You can really feel the groove. You must have some Brazilian blood in you 😂. Thank you Sandra!

I'm blushing already 😊. My professor at the conservatory used to play in Toninho Horta's band. One of the great Brazilian players. So I really learned a lot from him.

@GuitarversumSandraSherman2 жыл бұрын
I think you're the only person in the universe who finds Wes boring, lol. But I didn't even have Wes in mind, when I did that solo. I think his influence is just in my blood, like with every jazz guitarist.
