TBH Vidit missed some easy moves at crucial moments in the tournament which made the difference. He could have been a world champion, and considering the form that he had up to this tournament, he should have been able to convert these chances. Finding Bb6 against Fedoseev, and not playing Nd2 against Magnus would have led to completely different results in my opinion. We are still proud of our champion, but we expect more from him.

I was eating: and I immediately spotted Rd8+ instead of Bd3. Wud that win, followed by Bxa5, Sagar? @chessbaseindiachannel? Again, donno the exact time situation... understand the nerves (Vishy said Fedoseev can play 150 moves easily!)..... I saw later that Vidit played Bxa5 instead right away....
