Maybe I'm a huge nerd, but I love your science videos way more than the ones about celebrities. This was great!

I think they’re both important, marketing is important for exposure so more people see videos like this ❤

Same I don’t watch the celebrity ones at all but I fear they probably get more views and thus support this important work

Excellent video Mic! As a person that lives with MS I am, like you, obsessed with this kind of research. I actually found your channel from a video you did on the connection between dairy proteins and MS.

The vegan deficiency of taurine and creatine may play a role in MS, as well as omega 3. Google it

I've had terrible insomnia since I was an infant. I did a lot of digging into the glymphatic system and after nights with no sleep I would lay on my right side doing deep breathing trying to build pressure and flushing out my brain that way. In most cases I actually did feel a lot better after I would often do it for at least an hour.

dope video. tried talking to my anatomy/neuroscience professor about the glymphatic system last year and they were clueless

Academic teaching staff know about the curriculum they teach but in a lot of cases it’s been many years since they studied the subject and thus can be quite out of date with more general subject knowledge

Just a video on ALA would be interesting on its own, as the hype is always about EPA/DHA but little to nothing about ALA. Recently saw one study about ASL, and it was actually ALA that had the largest impact on it. I think there starts to be more studies especially on ALA. And people always think that the only reason to consume ALA is to get EPA/DHA, while ALA might be even more beneficial for our brain health.

Thank you, Mic. Great video. I love the way you present interesting information. I was just thinking, in all my 63 years have I always instinctively preferred the right side to sleep on. And I always sleep on the side of the bed that my front faces the outside, not the middle or the wall (if my bed stood against a wall on one side). I remember talking to a friend about it and I said, maybe it’s the “flight” preparation, so that in case of an emergency, I can just jump out instead of having to roll over first 🤭

A challenge with sleeping on the right side is that, while it may be better for glymphatic flow, it can aggravate GERD, another common concern for older people. GERD patients are often encouraged to sleep on the left side, resulting in less upward pressure from the stomach contents on the esophageal sphincter.

I need doctors and scientists to look at this for Glioma and Glioblastomas... Imagine how red light / near infrared light therapy would help too! I also heard, that 200mg - I think - of Melatonin will help with your Immune sytem function and the drainage during sleep and improve sleep as well. That brings me back to day light (bulbs) and circadian rhythm. Apparently you make Melatonin in the morning - in the back of your eye - just by the rays hitting your eyeballs 👀 and then when your eyes notice the absence of blue light from the golden evening sun p.e. the Melatonin starts to get activated. YT has given me a lot of good information and it's alls comming together now 🤤😎

When they say that something decreases as we age, that’s not exactly true. It decreases as something specific is happening. What is it that is happening? Is it influenced by exposure to certain things in the body’s environment? Would like to know specifically.

I like the jokes, but halfway through I had to pause because I’m a victim of a violent crime and included a running punch to my head a hole in my retina, the retina attached to the brain and I developed a cute insomnia because there were no apologies they were more threats more Crimes I’ve aged 100 years October 1, 2012 I went to a doctors for peace of mind Instead of justice by October 7, 2012 I was threatened on Google youtube that if I took any action in my case this perp would see the tables turned, and I believe I know who it is, but anyway it’s also affected my stomach and I have no Akkermansia but I found pendulum makes it so I’m taking that and I’m growing that healthy bacteria but here’s the problem in a small amounts it’s fine but it’s not a supplement. You want to take a ton of because if you have too much that can be possibly dangerous as well. Like possibly lead you to being vulnerable to Alzheimer and I’m someone who’s not sleeping. I got these huge dark circles under my eyes, but what I worry about most is my brain and my gut back bacteria. I have so much pain and I just I don’t have words and all this I believe stems from me going to a doctor October 1, 2012 to get a assist remover piece of mind and I was 50 and I looked 35.

Seems there just aren't that many compared to omnivore and Standard American Diet but of course even a whole food vegan diet doesn't protect you fully just improves your chances of not succumbing; there are so many other risk factors especially environmental/early life factors, and being a straw man.
