Blessings. My I’m doing my best to understand Orthodoxy as best I can and I’m more confused than ever. Every father that I speak to makes the case for what they believe and preach. God help me become a good Christian. I hope all Father’s are working towards unity.

My conscience stabs me constantly and gives me agony. I can no longer stay with my current SILENT LEADERSHIP that will not collectively or individually call out the Hierarchs on what they are doing and have done against Christ. Does that mean the conscience they live with is burned and numb and they feel nothing?! I cannot judge them and simply cannot understand it and stay with them either. We all have to work our own salvation, and I will always pray for everyone and have love for them, but I must depart from them! It's finished, no longer will I pretend and look the other way and stay and live deluded in that we celebrate His glorious resurrection every divine liturgy together and yet we live in denial and in hypocrisy by being and staying in silence to these heretical hierarchs. So much this talk helped me come to terms and I've listened a couple times now. I know I am nothing and a nobody, but I feel this so strong with all my heart and soul and cannot deny it anymore. Please pray for me! 🕊☦️🙏🏼🕯

@@hokulani8 I relate to what you're saying. I've been Orthodox for 26 years now and I'm sad but not shocked as the Father's told us this would come to be. I've purposely stayed a peon in the GOA as I started with a old calendarist group. I've only attended the nativity once in a new calendar parish and that was due to a friend asking to observe a Orthodox Christmas, it didn't feel good. After Metropolitan Spyridon was forced to retire, mainly as he got some old calendarist groups to come back, its never been a hopeful deal. Yes theres more folks like me, some cradle Orthodox, others like me converts thinking the same way. Thank God for Holy Orthodoxy as regardless of the times this is my spiritual home even as the world gets bumpy

We should all collectively pray for all the old calendars to assemble sit down iron out their differences and become one. Any time I speak to a new calendar individual they all throw this in my face. Us new calendars are all joined into one as it should be whereas you all old calendars are so grossly divided from one another, why should I join and become one of you ??? It is very sad and we should all agree and acknowledge that this isn't right !!!! These divisions cause many scandals and drive people away from church and make it much more difficult to bring any of them on board to our side !! I am sure and am very positive that our loving and all-compassionate Lord Jesus Christ's fondest wish is to put aside our pride and differences and see us all unite into one holy catholic and apostolic church !!! Don't you think ????

If you carefully look into the matter, about 90%, or more, of the "old-calendarists" belongs to our Church; not only in America, but also in Greece. There is a good reason for that. Those who started their own "GOC" left the original one. They must return. To go into all of the details here would be impossible. The scandal is caused by those who left.

Also, if you examine the "World Orthodox" situation carefully, you will see that they are *not* united: Witness the current schism between Moscow and Constantinople. The difference is that they split over "turf" issues - who has the power where - and not over matters of conscience.

What does Father mean by attacks from the "right" or "left"; as in political terms?

This is not a reference to the political spectrum, but to the spiritual principle that we can be attacked by the demons and by our thoughts from "the left," that is, to indulge in the lower passions, or from "the right," that is to secretly indulge our pride through perfectionism.

I haven’t finished watching, and I probably should before saying anything. Most probably I should say nothing. And Fr. Pittos even here says we should not attempt to state to what one revelation may be referring, I think not only because , as he says, Revelation and these revelations, given to those worthy of them, are a great compression of a grand scale of time, of history, a grand scale in our perspective, but also because they can refer to more than just one event, but to many, I just can’t help but imagine… as Fr speaks of the Great Wonder in Heaven and the serpent and the Mother and the Church. In 1054 was seen a Supernova by night and by day. 1054 is also the same time as, although it’s strewn across more than just the year to which we attribute, The Great Schism. And the dragon knocked down 1/3 of the stars… Rome, and any Protestant sect forthcoming. I’ve always thought that to be an interesting co incide ence.

Evlogite. It's interesting when Fr. Leonidas mentions the enlightenment and denying baptism. When being initiated as a 1st degree Mason a question is asked of the initiate..."What do you desire most?" The answer "Light". Then the blind fold is removed, and the "Worshipal Master" is revealed sitting on his thrown.
