I understand the part where Sonny tosses the money on the ground was "ad libbed"...can anyone say for certain? Also, note how Don Vito is far more friendly towards the baker than he was towards the undertaker!

Nazorine was much more humble and respectful than Bonasera.

Bonasera didn't respect the don. This is exemplified later in a deleted scene when the don calls on him for that "service" he would need him to do for him which in this case would be preparing Sonny's body. Bonasera, as the don put it, never even invited him to his house for coffee and only came to him when he was wronged by the system. Nazorine, on the other hand, looked to the don as a friend.

Probably cause the baker didn't avoid lr disrespect him like the undertaker and wasn't asking him to commit a murder, he was asking him to help his future son in law with immigration. Something he relates to and respects

The baker bakes the wedding cake for Connie's wedding and sends cakes and pastries for all of the holidays. He respected the Don's friendship. The Don more than willing to help a friend on his daughter's wedding day

Which version is this from, I had a look on my VHS rip and it wasn't on there.
