All my life i heard peoples prayers....God bless America. GOD bless America. I guess they were either blind or too greedy to see. GOD already had blessed America. Pray that God will remove the blinders from peoples eyes and turn their greed into generosity🙏❤️🇺🇲l was OTR/OO for 45 years. I miss those old trucks from my childhood❤

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Yes, many mirrors have changed on these trucks. I can remember some trucks only having those little mirrors mounted on the hinges. Some have gotten bigger & better, others who knows. Either way, those old trucks & cars had lots of style & character. Blessings my friend! 💥🥰✌️

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Many of those old trucks were so COOL! Some were hard to drive. My dad started driving in the 1930s. I’ve seen many of his old pictures. WOW! I’ve heard many of his stories & those of his older drivers. I still enjoy seeing these old rigs. You do a wonderful job giving them color. Those old trucks had such style & character. The mirrors & grills said a lot about them & have changed quite a bit! Good stuff! Blessings my friend.💥🥰✌️

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 My dad started driving in the 1930s. He showed me the coupon books he used to get tires & fuel during the war. Trucking has changed quite a bit since then. I can’t remember those diesel prices, but I do know that it was still at a decent price when I was growing up in the 70s. Diesel is so expensive these days. But we have the good memories at least. I remember when Fueling at O.V. Jarrell's Truck Stop on Highway 301 in Virginia they would change Your bunk sheets and wash Your Truck for FREE !

As an old trucker, i can attest to the fact, that '' then, everyone WORKED together, for the large, common GOOD. NOT anymore, '' each man for himself ''. Road character, shows up today as '' me first '' Get outta my road, you fu****** dork. Who does he think he is, passing me ? ......and on and on. NO ONE, does anyone, a ' good turn '. which would be the NATURAL laws, governing ' what i reap, is that which i sow '' = those happy-days, are LONG GONE. ....MR. YoungBlood. .........kinda sad....

I remember working at Husky truck stop in Amarillo Tx. They had bunks for drivers that just wanted to get out of the truck for a little while. The showers were one big room with shower heads hanging off the wall. They had a separate single room for women. My how things have changed.

@@donaldthomas2106 Yes Donald, things sure have changed! My wife and I joke that we went to sleep one night and woke up in some other world. (haa haa). I remember quite well that most truck stops had bunks and especially in the South the truck stop showers were "gang' style. There was a truck stop in New York to where the shower was outside! I can't recall the town, or the name. Also, the filthiest truck stop shower I ever ran across was in New York! Sorry New Yorkers, I just calls em' like sees em'. I will tell you though Donald that I always looked forward to taking loads into Texas because I could count on meeting the friendliest people and eating the best chow. I just never let them know I was a Yankee. Take care my friend. My first name is also Donald. Did they used to tease you in school about being Donald Duck? They did me! (1950's)

1:15 Mitch, taught me how to drive, a similar truck to this Kenworth, 1977-78. Cabover K-100 with 335 Cummins, 13 speed RTO roadranger ....12513 i believe. ''Thanks, Mitch""" !
