Paul tells us who "those He forknew" are. They are his brothers according to the flesh, the Israelites (Romans 11:2). This sermon is a great example of application trumping exegesis.

Doesn't predestination negate what God says about not delighting in the death of the wicked? Ezekiel 33:11

Scripture cannot contradict scripture. Since predestination is a word used in the Bible we must understand what is meant by it. God doesn’t delight in the death of the wicked but He does allow them to go to hell by their own sinful free will. God is either sovereign and saves some by grace for His good purpose (Eph 2) and allows the rest to get what WE ALL deserve or He is helpless and watches people go to hell against His “will”. We don’t know why he elects some and not all but we know he says so in sacred scripture. There must be differences in His will, a passive will and a decreetive will. If He decrees it or ordains it it will be done. Peace 😊🙏

@@seanorourke5137 My Bible teaches predestination and my Bible teaches God loves all. How do we rectify those two, I do not know. But I trust the Lord that he is both completely sovereign over all and does not wish that any should perish.

Sorry I wasn’t trying to debate, just trying to show how I agree with you and would also be considered a calvinist, but I came to that point because I hold a higher regard to the word of God than I do to human reason. Trust me I wrestle with how God can be compassionate but still mold vessels of wrath out of the clay of man daily, but I submit to the wisdom of God and accept what his word plainly says and trust both in his holy character as well as his complete sovereignty over salvation.

But sadly: 80% of the "Christian World"; adamantly espouse that is a lie. For hey say "We MUST work to get and keep our Salvation's". HOGWASH! And the Muslims say Jesus was ONLY a "prophet". And worse: the Jews say Jesus was NOT the "Messiah" (Savior). And Finally; 2/3rd's of the world; will worship OTHER fake "gods" all over the world. Even the staunch atheists WILL worship their "god" that IS; their "Selves". Oh indeed do that do that ALL the time! Believe it or not. And sad indeed. But...the good fact is: Jesus (who is the ONLY True God) IS going to prove; that He WAS, IS and shall ALWAYS be the God Almighty before Creation. When we will ALL stand before Jesus on "Judgment Day". Where Jesus' "jury" (24 elders) says; we ALL are guilty of our sins! BUT Jesus will pardon EVERY person (who has ever lived); who believed IN the God that Abraham believed in! AND worshiped ONLY that God; WILL be pardoned by Jesus. Because Jesus WAS that God... 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus), justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was within God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh (Jesus), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Then Jesus casts all of those who did NOT believe: in the God Abraham worshiped; into a "Burning Lake of Fire" (hell). Then Jesus commands His Angels to usher ALL that worshiped the God; that Abraham worshiped; into the New Heaven. Where we will live forever. Praise His Holy Name... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. I am an "Arminian", at least our church is. Calvinism is much more logical thou. How can you be humble as an Arminian? It's all up to you to keep your salvation, and yet call it grace, and all a work of God. Confusing.
