I've watching you on a daily basis, I've been a swim coach , retired, last 17 years, done my sport science, and human movement, there is nothing than can be criticized with what you ate preecching , I'm in Australia, only wish we had some like yourself, with this analytics and commonsense out here , would love to have that pro. Keep up the good work

Dan great explanation and The Pro really helps getting us to understand.

Amazingly simple, hard to not fall back into old bad motions in the pressure of a match. I must work with my Pro and continue to try and get this sequencing engrained. I find I've made more progress using the Pro in improving my full long shots, longer clubs, yet still struggle with a simple 20 yard pitch, where i still sometimes torque the handle and push on the shaft.

For sure - definitely do the Wrecking Ball drill to help you with short game shots!

I think the preface to this should have been to brace the core first because I can move my hips independently of my torso without bracing my core. If I brace my core then the hips will indeed pull on the torso and so on. I couldn’t understand how Dan was feeling a pull on the torso even with a small turn of the hips but if you brace the whole system (not rigid but a ready tension) one will transmit to the other, hips will transmit to the torso etc

Excellent explanation! How in the world do you only have 1.59k followers? Great stuff!

Awesome explanation - how is it though, that a stiff shaft helps with higher swing speeds - is there not an element of leveraging on a advanced level in the swing?
@parasmalik84593 жыл бұрын
Stiff shaft creates more control at higher swing speeds where leverage is not a problem.
@danmartingolf3 жыл бұрын
Ideally there is no leveraging whatsoever. If you put a light flex shaft and a x-stiff shaft in a swing testing robot, there will be virtually no difference in flex characteristics or ball flight data. Shaft flex is to help dampen the mistakes of unwanted leverage that the human puts into the shaft.

how do you transfer liner momentum to angular momentum in a golf swing.
@cdunne162022 күн бұрын
You have nothing to do, it just happens according to physics. If I move a rod perpendicular to its length and then fix one end the other end will gain angular momentum as shown by the fact that it rotates about the fixed end. All I did was fix one end after the linear Momentum got going and you have rotational motion
