RIP Richard Briers... thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories you gave me as The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles were some of my favorite comedies, not to mention lending your voice to Watership Down as Fiver. Thank you also for all the support you gave to animal charities as well...

Can't believe i found this show i watched as a child here in America. We only had 3 channels and one played bbc shows. This and who are the ones i remember most. Once i figured this was the show. I watched all episodes i could find. Which brings me to a request to post the missing ones from here. Please and thank you

I could never really understand that in so much as the people posting and watching are not making any money from this and it's in no way tarnishing the reputation of the programs. I'm an American and have discovered a bunch of Britcoms we never had here (we did get The Good Life, but it was called The Good Neighbors for some reason!). I've ended up buying some of them on DVD, so this actually made the BBC some money!

The Good Life was already the name of an American sitcom so it couldn't be used.

@stumpydolphin it would appear that way, but in actuality Tom carries the flower pot in with him when he brings the tree top in from outside; he's holding it behind his back (for some reason) and then we don't see him place it on the table because the camera is on Barbara at that point. This show is too well thought out for continuity errors. :-)
@collinhunter97926 жыл бұрын
cos if barbra saw the pot, she would know the tree was small, i was thinking, but that is wrong, since tom is showing her the tree, at the same time. lol

@jimbo so true, so true. Its a shame they will never learn. I became a fast fan of Burns and Allen because of the internet. For those of us in the US this is usually the only way we get to see these programs. Thanks so much for uploading.

Yes that's him! That's David Battley, who did play the chemistry teacher Mr Turkentine in the original film Willy Wonka , and he was in Krull the film too. Sadly he is no longer around as he passed away a few years ago.

I've often made the same observation as the tradesman. Amazing eyes. They match the rest of the woman. 😍

For some reason this episode was left out of the DVD set I have.

I know what you mean. If I see something that I really like I think its nice to have the original DVD. Letting people see it on here first is bound to lead to some sales. Taking the videos off just means younger people will never get to see classics like this.

Margo is a right snob. Not Penelope Keith's other snobbish Creation, Audrey Forbes-Hamilton isn't as up herself as Margo. But I prefer good old Margo.....And she's rather tasty.
