Plus they should’ve remastered Saints Row 2 instead of releasing this trash 🗑️
@arthurfleck6293 ай бұрын
@@CharlesCharlie.-A full on remake might be in order, the game’s about to turn 16 years old, so some of its features would be verging on being somewhat janky and frustrating, you know the kind of stuff, the controls e.t.c. It’s still an excellent looking game for the most part, so they wouldn’t have much to flesh out, and the story still functions really well. If they remade it the same way Motive remade the original Dead Space game 15 years later, it’d sell like hot cakes as they say. Just an over-all upgrade in most every way imaginable with a few minor tweaks to the story so returning players are constantly on their toes and don’t necessarily always know what to expect, it’s why the Dead Space remake was so successful, it did exactly this. With Saints Row 2 however, they could also add some new vehicles and Easter eggs, and even more amazing secret locations in the world to discover while exploring, it lends itself to a remake very nicely. Character deaths could be done differently in the remake just like they were changed in the Dead Space remake. Carlos’ death for instance, could take place at the very end of the game during the final mission, so returning players make their way through all of the game thinking he’s going to survive, as he hasn’t been killed where he was in the original, only to be heartbroken when he does finally get killed. They could have the ronin be behind it this time for a change, and have it be the case that the ronin take over Ultor by killing Dane Vogel and replacing it as the head of the corporation. They could take Carlos and the boss hostage, before killing Carlos right in front of the boss while they’re both hogtied or something, and order their henchmen to kill the boss, only for the boss to break free and fight his way to the top of the building, obtaining weapons and ammunition from fallen enemies in the process, as he’s been stripped of all his equipment, he could fight through 10 or so floors before he discovers an elevator, which takes him up 50 or so floors before the ronin sabotage it by dropping another elevator on top of it, forcing the player to jump out of it to survive. He could then fight his way up another 10 or so floors while they throw absolutely everything they have at him, during which Shaundi and Pierce arrive to help him, before they all finally make their way to the top and get revenge for Carlos and transform the place into a new pad for the Saints. Again, just an idea, but it could be fun if they changed a few things up while still maintaining the game’s badass original identity, keeping the charm we all fell in love with alive would be easier said than done, but it’s definitely possible, the Dead Space remake is living proof of that. The first Saints Row should be remade first in my opinion, I’m pretty biased though haha, I never owned an X-box as a kid, so I never had the chance to play it and I’d love to experience it someday. It’s the only Saints Row game I’ve never played other than the reboot, if we can even call the reboot a Saints Row game lol.

I lost all respect for them when they praised reddit mods for what they were doing censoring criticism, and denying content creators review copies who they knew were not going to like it. The hot women, the street cred, the clubs, the drugs, the hip hop scene, whatever. I like the idea of the characters being in separate gangs because it add something unique. Somehow, they mess it up. Like instead of being them friends, they could have make them rivals until they are abandoned from their own gangs and they decided to work together to form the Saints. Imagine a movie where a blood, crips, a neo Nazi, and a Latin King are abandoned by their gangs and they are force to work together to defend them. Volition easy could have did that better.
@aldusty27342 жыл бұрын

I think the logical story they could have had from that was to say have the enemy gangs go after them because they're traitors and still keep the blood in blood out thing or for whatever reason their gangs wants to confront them over debts owed, and not over student loans obviously but in real life over money, they owe from say drug or sex trafficking, and they work together because they're afraid of their gang leaders at first. The Boss could have been a soldier for a normal security group (not a futuristic one) but his squad was killed or something fighting with the enemy gangs who have military level gear like some irl cartels. Then the Boss quits due to survivors guilt, then they form a new gang on a common goal, form respect for each other, learn about each other through their old gang roots and take out the other gangs in the same spirit of the original games. None of this start up stuff, no waffle maker bs, no cats, no cat waffles, no artifacts. The Nuhalli could have just been the head honcho kingpin.

The main reason the opening of SR2022 is so weird is we're given very little investment into the player and his friends's backstory. In most open world games including Saints Row they introduce characters typically fairly gradually and have stories exclusive to them. Like in GTASA right at the start of the game, Ryder, Big Smoke and Sweet all have missions that define their characters and their relationship with CJ. Like CJ has Tagging up Turf with Sweet where they spray graffiti. And it portrays Sweet as reliable and their relationship is clearly really strong. There's also Ryder with Ryder where you get a haircut with him and hold up a pizza place. Big Smoke has missions like Drive Thru and others later. Each of the characters in that game feel very distinct and part of that is the player spends a lot of time with them alone. In SR2022 they keep telling you the player is friends with these people but I never really understand why or what their relationship is actually like.

Eli betrays the Saints for not going with his plans & not being appreciative, so he sets up the ambush in the church & joins the Marshall. The game ends with the Boss killing Eli, & afterwards, he/she becomes a heartless savage like the OG boss

My idea of a story would've been like this: You start up as nothing but a broke teenager with no education, no proper housing or anything. You live around the neighborhood with your friends and you guys known to be some small time criminals in there. At first, you'll start doing basic stuff like robbing stores, stealing cars, etc And by time, you'll start getting involved into more shit and you'll end up robbing one of the gangs, stealing a big shipment of drugs from them. That will piss off the gangs so much and they'll start attacking, maybe kidnapping one of your homies to build up the conflict and you'll have to rescue him. After that, your boss will get kinda pissed off from these and he'll take a decision to wipe them out and take over their areas. Then at this moment, one of your friends will reach out to some poor guys they know from the neighborhood similar to johnny gar's recruitment mission from SR2 and you'll bring them into the gang as foot soldiers. After that, the boss will form his own gang however, it will not be the 3rd Street saints at first, you'll start off as an unknown crew that rocks black instead of purple and you'll start doing some stuff to increase your gang's reputation. You'll start dealing drugs, attacking enemy gangs, taking over enemy territories and people will start taking notice of your gang and they'll start joining you and by the time you take down the first gang, your gang will be much stronger than it was and the boss will eventually do some sort of a meeting similar to the one in SR2 and announce the gang as the third Street saints. After that, you'll start going after the stronger gangs. There'll be 3 other different gangs after taking down the first gang and you'll need to weaken them, steal their business and attack their leaders to finish them off. And you'll see how these gangs crumble apart when you attack them and how your gang develop around the story. After you take down the first gang that owns saints row, your gang will turn from a weak crew of criminals to an actual gang called the 3rd Street saints After you take down the three other gangs before attacking Marshall, your gang will turn from a gang to a full on cartel with members rocking more expensive cars and weaponry And after you take down Marshall, you'll basically become the kingpin of your city and in the final cutscene. Your character will sit in a balcony, watching his city while smoking a Cuban cigar, showing himself how he turned from a small time gangster to a kingpin That would be cool

The point of The Nahualli is that he represents the old Saint Row series, namely 1 and 2. The current Boss and his friends are the current developers and this title. The interactions between the two is basically the currents dev acknowledging the originals by introducing him as a badass........just like the original Boss. He kills Sergio because the original Boss killed the bosses in the older games. He is written to try and be friends with the current Boss and their crew because the current devs want this game to stand along side the older titles. Nahualli then tries to bury the current Boss (with the devs saying that older fans prefer Saints Row 1, 2 and maybe 3) and kidnap their friend kidnaps (this time the devs saying that those titles would surpass this one) and him getting killed at the end (the dev's ego as a whole saying that this title is the superior one in the series). And also, the speech at the church during the gang's formation in this game is Voltition (The Boss) talking directly to us, the audience (the Saints members) about how they feel about the franchise as a whole.
@lolcatzidk2 жыл бұрын
Rather than the cringe rant the Boss has at the beginning, they could have ranted to themselves on how they can be a better leader than Gwen. Considering the Boss was able to secure the Nahualli their own way, I could see the Boss begin to show how they want a leadership position. This would later play out when the Boss wants to make his own gang as the leader of it. They know they are capable of being a leader and they can get the job done.

And the range of activities performed by the NPCs was very impressive for the time - skateboarding, reading books, having romantic moments, and in rare occasions, suicidal NPCs jumping off of cliffs. All these activities performed by the NPCs made Stillwater feel alive, whereas Steelport didn't have any of that and thus felt dead. And contrary to what the female 1 voice sometimes says, the people of Stillwater were much better looking than the people of Steelport.

This is why gamers are going back to older games,simple easy and fun and made sense. We got the EA boss telling us for BF5 “if you don’t like the game don’t buy it” ….we didn’t. You have the days gone dev bitching and crying about players not paying full price for games at launch but…87% if games don’t come out fully finished and are riddle with bugs. Then cyberbug lied to everyone secretly not showing real gameplay…last of us part 2 paying journalists to write fake reviews to bump up the rating and ofc the fan base is COMPLETELY divided because of the choices made in the writing and how the story played out now…this company is …actively lashing back out at customers and fans of the games because there in denial. I’m done ranting and I’m beginning to lose faith in video games.

I wouldn't say all of the classics were perfect back then, there was still a good amount of shovelware on all sorts of platforms. But it was the time when big companies pushed a lot for great games, when they tried to innovate and come up with something that's actually good or is even pushing the boundaries of the genre they were working in. There were tons of great games every year, and while there were certainly still stinkers alongside them, the great hits always outnumbered them. Now? It's certainly not the same... We still get some great games here and there, but there's nowhere near as many as there used to be before. Most of the games releasing these days are actually quite average, and those in large amount are the fabled triple-A titles that used to be bringing in much innovation to the industry before. Well... Let me tell you something. Today, most corporations push profit over creativity. They squeeze out as much of the most scumbag corporate tactics in the video gaming industry as possible in hopes of earning maximum profit. They don't even care if the games they're making are bad and they receive them a massively negative reputation amongst the customers, they'll be fine so long as they find themselves rolling in cash from all the most bland design choices, crunched developers, DLCs, microtransactions and broken launches. People unaware of the industry at large fall into the predatory schemes of those corporations. They essentially enable all of them to continue doing this because they're not going to stop buying those games. EA continues to push awful live-service soccer titles with heaps of microtransactions and scumbag decisions every year because casual players buy their games and microtransactions anyway, or in other words, the casual players enable EA's predatory behavior. It's because people are complacent with mediocrity that we get more of it shoveled into our faces. The mobile market especially is a huge example of that, it's practically consumed by the greed of scummy developers and corporate executives. I see games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Saints Row Reboot as corporations thinking they are geniuses who are ready to fool all the customers to get as much profit as possible. CD Projekt Red not only lied, but literally SPAT into our faces with all the stuff they've been doing behind the curtains and closed doors. In fact, they were so willing to do it, the shallow apologies they've delivered after the game's launch showed just how much they only cared about the money. There's absolutely no excuse to what they've done, they were the most deserving of what was coming to them. And even though they've patched out a lot of bugs over those past two years, that doesn't change the fact that they still lied and that they still allowed this entire mess to happen to begin with. It especially doesn't help them because their lies are still out there on the Internet and in the game itself. CD Projekt Red earned good bank with this and is already making a ton of games for the future, dropping Cyberpunk 2077 after just one DLC. They've never delivered on their promises, so neither will they try to in the future. I will never forgive them for this, and I will never forget about what happened to this huge disaster of a video game launch. While Volition's Saints Row 2022 wasn't necessarily lying to it's fans, they were not holding back on punching them all in the faces, taking a dump on their beloved franchise that was already run into the ground and lying in it's casket, closing the lid and hammering in the final nails just before covering it all up with dirt and sand... all while out in the middle of the desert, hoping it'll be forgotten by everyone. This is the kind of world we live in now. The world where corporations have become so savage over the years that they are willing to deceit everyone to earn a bigger paycheck for their yet another yacht and mansion sets. And not only just that, because they're ready to even go as far as attack their own customers just because they were not willing to eat up the turd that was offered up to them on the silver platter and which was somewhat nicely decorated but was also still just a turd. I suppose today's Volition were right in something. The people and the industry have changed... ... And for the worse.

Bottom line fellas I’m sure we’ve been playing games for a while long enough to know what a good game is. GameStop was still good enough to go in there for them to pester us with “would u like to sign up with us for a power up rewards card ”,long enough to at least once in our life…blow on the back of a game cartridge to only put back into the gaming console to not work for the 11th time,DLCs was extra content …not content that should’ve been already put into the game with major patches behind it. My point since I’m sure a majority of us are in our 20s and we know a good game when we see it and today and most of them are absolutely abysmal

I've been thinking about it these past months and I slowly come up with how I could make these characters and gangs better and more badass. The player: I still think that he works okay as he begins with Marshal (not the whole cringe stuff of course). But unlike in this game in my story the four characters would live in the same apartment, but just don't tell each other that they're in different gangs, and they may not even be full members off the gang maybe they're associates. The player is with Marshal at the beginning, but like with the mission in the museum something could happen that causes the player to get fired. Maybe instead of some Codex, he had to guard a bank full of money or gold, and all three main gangs (let's say Marshal is more like Ultor, and there could be a fourth gang) attack the place, knock out the player and steal everything. He gets fired and is devastated. But this is about the same time that he finds out about his friends being in the other gangs, and he considers beating them up until he has to save them and how that happens I'll explain now. Nina: She's still similar to how her role as a mechanic is in the gang, but she's also a bit like Jessica in Saints Row 2 at the start and his the girlfriend off the gang's boss at the beginning, and at the start of the game she begins to suspect he's cheating on her which turns out to be true. This causes her to snap and murder several members before confronting Sergio. Sergio being a sadistic guy that he is, dumps her in the trunk of her car and has her tossed into a cliff. This is were the player hears about this and decides to save her. Eli: Now, I'm making his character very different and also make up an additional fourth gang that could like a maffia like the Ronin and the Vice Kings from the first two games. They're a gang that control the areas around midtown and the casino strips, which is also how they make their money. Eli is like an accountant, banker or administrator that helps them with money laundering and such, but not involved with fire fights and such. However, at the start of the game he's caught by the feds and his gang refuses to help him since they can erase any connection with him and so they leave him to his fate. Once again, the player finds out and has to murder the police team that's about to bust Eli's office. Kevin: I'm also kind of changing the idols here, instead of communist anarchist, they're kind of like the Rollers or Sons of Samedi or even the Luchadores that like to push their associates around. And Kevin could be made like Veteran Child who does drug dealing for them, but is never given a fair cut because he has some skeletons in his closet with gambling, cheating and drug use and the idols use that to push him around. Eventually he can't take it anymore and badly injures one of the bosses, but is then kidnapped and about to the executed. The player finds out and also rescues him. At the end of these missions where you save the three others, and you come back together at home. At first the characters don't get along so well until the players steps up and says: Alright you motherfuckers, listen up. I don't care where you came from or what flag you carried. We've been in the same old shit for years, and we all found our own way into getting out of it. But why should we do it for ourselves if we can combine our powers together to get of this live of bills and poverty. (Or some quote like that). Finally you also have Nahualli, and how I would re write his character is like this. He's the leader of a gang that gets exterminated by Marshal at the beginning of the game. His gang lives in the badlands and desert, and Marshal wants to evict everyone violently to start drilling for oil there. After you rescue Nahualli he becomes your mentor like Julius, but also tell some wise words. You think you're the first one to take a step against the big men of this stinkin nation, that have more interest in themselves instead of the common man. We're all the same people in a mad world, outcasts who have lost their lives due to wars and corruption. Prostituted and dumped by pimps like Marhsal. At the end of the game he could also still betray you, but have the same motivation as Julius. He believes you've become the guy you fought against, but he's also a hypocrite like Julius. He was fine with drugs and prostitution, but developed a conscience too late.

1:27:17 Well, in my case, Professional, I would have write it like this: The characters are not student kids, they are in their late 20's. The cringe Boss will have the personality of the OG Boss (scary, intimidating but at the same time carying deeply about his homies); Kevin would have more the personality of Gat, combined with a more authenthic anarchist belives; Neenah would have the personality of Lin, but with a more sensible side like Carlos; Eli would still be the unexperienced nerd member and the brains of the gang, but he also would grow up in the story to become also a good fighter like Pierce; and Nahuali would be like the friendly and more fair and reasonable version of Maero (having both of him and his entire gang as a loyal and trustworthy allie, like Mr. Wong, to help the Saints to fight the other factions). The Marshall would be more like an old style cowboy version of Merryweather, without the futuristic stuff; the Panteros would be more like a combination of Los Carnales and The Brotherhood, trafficking both with vehicles and drugs; the Idols would be more like the factions from Mad Max, so primitive and savage, outside of the civilization and more like an authenthic anarchist gang. My story would start with the four main characters seperated in different apartments but still from the same building. The characters would still being members of the different rival gang (The Boss as a Marshall mercenary; Neenah as a Panteros gang member; Kevin as an Idol anarchist), but this time the characters would distrust each other at first, being in a break of war. However, Eli would interfier on their conflict, convincing them to make peace truce, in order to avoid unworth it problems with the law, which it's not gonna benefit anyone at all. A few months passed and the characters are starting to have some dislikes about their own gangs. The Boss would realize how sellfish and *sshole is actually Atticus with his people; Neenah would realize how paranoid and irrational is starting to become Sergio due to his drugs; Kevin would also realize that the Idols are just hypocrites, judging all the time about capitalism and money, but using the capitalist system to make money to benefit their gang, but making pointless all their entire anarchist ideology. Then the 4 characters would start to have financial problems, to the point to move on all of them into the most rundown apartment in the building as roommates, making them more uncomfortable and paranoid than before. But Eli would still be the peacemaker, convincing the 3 of them to live together, as long that they never talk about their respective gang businesses between each other and keeping in secret from their gangs about the fact that they are living now together in the same room. More time passed out, and the 4 characters are actually starting to like each other, realizing how much they have in common, being very alike at the same time. But then their friendly interactions would bring them consequences. Atticus would fire the Boss in the same way that in the final game; Neenah would be betrayed by Sergio due to his paranoia; and the Idols would discover later that Kevin was living with their enemies in the same apartment, so they would send troops of Idols to kill him for a suppose betrayal. After everyone where kicked out one way or another from their respective gangs, that's when they make the Saints, but without all the cringy missions around the game, and more similar to the ones from SR 1, 2 and even a few from 3. Then when the Saints realize that they are still a small gang, compare with the rest of the other factions, they would need the help from another small gang to defeat their enemies. That's when the Boss helped Nahuali to help him getting out of the Marshall prision, after he captured him. But this time Nahuali is not gonna be an insane creepy stalker (nor a possible p*dophile), jealous of the Cringe Boss. He would be a little hostile with the Boss, after he captured him, distrusting him and the Saints at first. But then he would realize how much of potential have the Saints as gang, and his loyalty and friendship, without being so infantil and cringe. Nahuali would use his gang to gave the Saints additional back up for their gang wars and when their gang friendship start it to become much bigger, Nahuali would accept to asimilate his gang and himself with the Saints, making one and much bigger gang, and also gaving to the Saints a few advises to make them much capable to fight. Also Myra would still betraying Atticus, after she realized how careless was with her, compare with the Boss. But this time, Myra also would become a mentor and even a possible mother figure that the Boss never had (which in my own point of view, the Boss' childhood and lack of good parenting was of the main reasons that he became a cold blooded sociopath). Myra also would help the Boss to be more human and also more compationed and sensible with his gang and the people around him, in order to not become into another Atticus that use purple instead of blue. Atticus would be defeat in the same way that in the final game, but Myra now would become an official member of the Saints, convincing a good part of the Marshall staff to make reforms in the company, which that would make the Marshall company to assimilate with the Saints, so the Saints can use the Marshall company as cover for their illegal actions. The Boss would have a fight with Sergio, similar like the first one from Maero, but then he wouldn't manage defeat him, and that's when Nahuali came to rescue him. The main Idol leader would be defeated probably in a same way as the antagonist from the most recent movie of Mad Max, just as a little reference to that movie. The final boss, would be a corrupt chief of police, which he is the one who kidnapped the Boss' friends, including Nahuali and Myra, infiltrating into the Saints HQ, disguised as another Saint gang member, in an attempt to kill the Boss, similar like Nahuali did, but without all the cringe flashback sequence. At the end, the Boss would kill the chief of police and his entire corrupt division, saving Kevin, Neenah, Eli, Nahuali and Myra, while he and his entire friends are looking up the city that all of them own now, being much more meaningful than the final game.

Afterwords, he buries the boss and his friends, YOU become Nahualli and work to take over the city with your crew. And it would be revealed that the beginning scene of the game was just a dream that the boss had one night, and it really didn't happen. Here’s the thing about the karaoke: it CAN work for a gang but ONLY if it’s not mentioned in the main story, or if it is VERY LITTLE. Think about the yakuza games for instance: amazing storylines and a fairly accurate representation of the Japanese mafia (as accurate as you can make a game where you beat people up with motorcycles), and yet you can do karaoke as a mini game and it doesn’t seem out of place at ALL because karaoke is a big part of Japanese culture and you expect hardened criminals to still have some down time and have hobbies like normal people. Saints row on the other hand rather than have it be a side activity or a small throwaway line they just shoehorn it into the plot and have it be something the characters frequently do and will talk about DURING their criminal activities.
@billybob71358 ай бұрын
Yakuza also does it in a fitting way. Kiryu is a stoic guy who can't just cry about issues because he is always protecting someone. But he uses Karaoke to cope and express emotions that he can't express otherwise. He never interrupts the plot to go sing while his friends are kidnapped because the plot is always focused, even if the side content is wacky.

Saints Row 2 was the peak of the series. Easily accessible for anyone, even a kid could just play it (although you wouldn’t want them to). The first game is good, but not half as good as people want to remember. The gameplay, difficulty, and frustrating mechanics made it difficult to just relax and enjoy. 3 was the biggest disappointment because it came off the back of 2, and it downgraded everything, from building interiors, to all the random side character that made the original city more alive. Apparently Volition wanted to go in a different direction with this game and it was a mistake that cost them their company. But they still feel like they made the right choice and didn't care how cringy it was because that's the way they wanted. Like they were saying to us "We don't care how much you think its bad or cringy, we want it to be this way to make it different from past games." Volilition were idiots and they deseversd to be shut down. They ruined Saints Row.

Makes me very happy to see someone finally read the context of Steph’s reply to my tweet, most creators haven’t been doing that, but for more context, she was talking about people making fake idolninja twitter accounts and spamming her and another community manager(s) basically over and over calling the game shit. I don’t think “terroris behavior” is an appropriate word choice because people aren’t doing this for political or religious gain, they’re pissed off, I think “harassment” would’ve been a better word choice. -Alecfisher

As i said before, to me the Nahuali treason was bring up at the last moment when the script was being made (i suppose in the first version Nahuali didnt betray you). Someone believe the betrayal was cool and added it, programmed it and then the developers find themselves against a dire situation: there was no way the gang would survive the Nahuali. So they come up with this cheap scene and "i will protect better our friends" crap. I want to believe this, because if they truly believe the reason goes on with the Nahuali personality they have some serius logic issues...
@tonyshum55692 жыл бұрын
nah his betrayal was very "smartly" (smartly in quotes because of how obvious it was) hinted, I don't blame you for not getting the hint since any sane person would sleep through the fuckin cutscenes, but when the boss was moping around after being fired he bought a bunch of knives, one of them called a, and i kid you not "Judas 3000" and the same knife in question the boss gifted nahuali.
@matiassacchelli84402 жыл бұрын
@@tonyshum5569 no, what i mean is the nahuali was show as a cold and methodologic person. I have to believe that because he spend like 30 minutes with 4 weird randoms now he is really worried about them? Yes the treason was highly hinted but the reason of the treason is still stupid. I mean if he did it in order to take MC empire would be fine. But theres the problem that the gang wouldnt survive tje nahuali (at least not without plot armor)

I agreed 55:08 this was the saddest moment in the game. How could the Boss acted so cool like he won a gold medal or something after missing all these shots. I actually thought the Boss was an undercover gang member and helped them flee. What is this aim? Where is the accuracy?

After replaying this game really recently I've come to best conclusion I can make as a fan and just a player in general. The game exudes this "I'm so quirky" energy. The amount of outdated terms and desperate appeal to an audience I'm not even sure existed in the first place is mind melting as well as the random missions that are ACTUAL story missions like going to get a toy for Kevin from Freckle Bitches, Art for Neenah, getting your mail back and some others that escape me. The dialogue and characters connection to it is not only fractured but also very fake considering games like TV shows and movies have world's that in essence have to "convince" you that the world's exist and the people exist within it. The tone and overall story is very strange as well as it doesn't exactly tell a story or convey a message in the least. And taking an educated guess to that, I would say friendship triumphs over all, but that doesn't really make sense considering this is a game about building a criminal empire. Who knows, but that's just my two sense.

SR4 was the first Saints Row game I've ever played and little did I know it's actually a gangster game. I had so much fun playing that game that I replayed it over and over again. Same goes for SR3. I love the customization, the story, the characters and the cool weapons. When I finally played SR2, I was mind blown on how gangster that game was. I had trouble with the final mission, but overall it was great. I can even go inside buildings unlike SR3 & SR4. Also I like how each gang has their own cutscenee and story. I never played the original Saints Row game cuz it doesn't have a PlayStation version of it. I played GOFA and AOM, but I wasn't having that much fun and didn't complete it. When I played Saints Row 2022, I wasn't having fun but I completed it and stop playing it altogether. Even though I like the customization and some weapons, I was really disappointed with this game. I can't take this people seriously, the rival gangs don't have their own cutscenes, I hate the dialogue, I was feeling like playing Fortnite, I can't go into buildings, the story didn't make any sense and the DLCs were terrible. Neenah is the only one I see who has potential and more badass unlike the rest of these guys. Someone please tell me why Eli is wearing a suit like he's either going to a high school prom or work at a fancy restaurant? Nobody wears a suit on a daily basis unless they go to work. I like the vibe of the Idols, but they killed it for me. Who are the Idol Collective? What are they're names? I like that every single person except for Ell is in their own separate gang and they will eventually come together, but there's a better way to do it if you do it right. This isn't Saints Row, this is Shit Row. This is not the game I would play multiple times and it's not even fun like SR4. I know SR4 isn't that gangster, but cut them some slack. At least SR4 is fun unlike Shit Row. Volition r'nt to blame cuz they want to go in the direction before Saints Row 3 and how Shandi's character changed. It's Deep Silver's fault cuz they want a new direction because of how the world is today and it failed miserably. Don't fix things that aren't broke.

I don't understand why you'd do this, build a casino district and have not a single one that's enterable or interactable, it would have been nice if one business you could build been like your own little gambling place, but no Also I'm not sure if it is a feature but It would've been cool if when a sandstorm hit you'd lose notoriety faster

Boot hill could've been a side gamemode akin to the roguelike style of games that became very popular and liked lately. The whole idea of the mission is that you find random weapons as you progress and they could've turned that into a more polished version where the weapons are ACTUALLY random and you even get random upgrades and permanent progression for more runs making it very replayable and fun, even akin to mercenaries on resident evil.

After watching this video, I loaded up Saints Row (2006) and drove to the nearest movie theater with all my homies to watch some of the cutscenes. Volition clearly had ambition back then. Saints Row (2006) had the best voice acting, city, activities, and even multiplayer compared to this game. Some fun times.

I totally agree with you TheProfessional about this game. Additionally I wonder if they have even done any research how gangs operate in the US at this age of time (they did pretty extensive work how gang culture works when they were creating Saint Row 1 back in 2006). Before buying this video game I did watch a lot of educational videos on youtube how the gangs smuggle illegal items/people between borders, what kind of posts they have on social media (some of them show up their weapons made from pure gold, or even their outfits with masks/tattoos on to intimidate their rivals gangs), and how they are making transactions to sell out illegal substances. The setting of this game is even really interesting since a lot of trafficking is happening between the US - Mexico border, and a lot of gangs ways to get on this action. Unfortunately we got bad written story, bad main character, and lifeless city. Few things were interesting in this game, but unfortunately is just overshadowed by so many negatives, with a unstable game. My final score is 3,5/10. Ps. I guess that GTA Online will be able to sell more subscriptions/shark cards, and GTA VI won't have any problems with sales (even if they will realase a total buggy game), since Rockstar (Take-Two Interactive) have now monopoly on crime games.

They did their homework in SR1 but clearly didnt for this game. I mean the story doesnt make sense for a gangland title, if not stupid. Like gangs fighting over a museum artifact like this is tomb raider, or the characters being friendly hipsters while the enemy gangs look more like generic factions from Fortnite, and none of the urban street culture or hip hop feel that the stuff came form. They dint even consider doing cartels or something. They went with... larping, and waffle makers. They looked at this game and actually thought this was better than SR1 or SR2.

Not many know this, but there's actually three casinos in San Andreas. As you mentioned there is the Four Dragons, and Caligula's Palace. But a little off the strip, not too far from the airport, there is a third casino. Casino Floor - it's really easy to miss, as it's just a small 1 floor building. So yeah, not only does a game from 2004 have 3 of them, they also had the horse betting shops dotted around the map. Yet a game from 2022 had none of thart. So unbelieably lazy, lol.

1:15:55 - I feel like you can actually hear some of the VAs in this scene die inside while recording this scene. I don't think I've ever heard such lifeless laughter. Joker's slow laugh as he crashed the mob boss meeting in the Dark Knight sounded more genuine than this.

Saint row 2 boss seems like the guy who would blow up an orphanage without evacuating the children, Contrast this to the the reboot boss who seems like he's not allowed within 100 yards of any children, (guy gives me Jared from subway vibes especially after the larp/milsim-ish game thingy)
