We went over to Copenhagen to watch these guys play all of Ennio Morricone's famous filmscores live in the very same venue in August. It was an amazing and memorable experience! We gave them a ten minute standing ovation for this particular piece of music. Spine tinglingly good!

Yes a great concert. I have just been to the Raiders of the Symphony (treasure hunter movies, big focus on Indiana Jones). They told there were some issues finding the right notes for some of the Indiana Jones melodies. So they wrote to John Williams himself and he sent his own handwritten notes! He had also seen their videos and was very much impressed and found them super cool!

D, I'm guessing that you haven't seen the movie to which this theme belongs, since you don't know the meaning of the hanging man over the orchestra. It is an integral part of the plot of the movie. I strongly recommend that you see the movie; it is one of the greatest westerns ever made. The beautiful second piece, which began with the piano solo, is a tune within the movie titled "Ecstacy of Gold," and is heard at the climax of the movie. I love your reviews and have subbed; keep up the good work.

This was 1 song of an evening of music used in the Sergio Leone movies. The hanging guy was merely a prop, to add to the atmosphere. Once upon a time in the West and A Few Dollars More, also done that evening, are also worth your time, as well.

I love this arrangement of the movie score. Having an orchestra capable of making such performances in such a small country makes me happy being from Denmark. I would have **loved** to be there at this performance. It is world class music. Yes, I do not forget Ennio Morricone who composed this wonderful piece. As far as I know, that disturbing image is from a scene in the film. Oh, yes, I am pretty sure it was a dummy or a cardboard cut-out. I also like the lovely camera work they do here. I would recommend going to their channel and check it out. They do outstanding performances. After your rabbit hole with Pentatonix, is this another rabbit hole for you to explore?

Well you have to see the movie again to get the "Hanging Body" Professional Musicians and Professional Singers, it doesn't get any better. They have done many a movie theme songs. Others westerns and some the James Bond movies.

Written by the legendary film composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) who has written many many film scores but none has had the impact of this, this score is from a trio of movies out of Italy in the 60's commonly known as "Spaghetti Westerns"...A Fistful Of Dollars (1964) For A few Dollars More (1965) and This one, The Good The Bad The Ugly (1966) all directed by legendary Italian film director Sergio Leone (1929-1989) Both of these men have influenced many directors and composers...These movies also launched Clint Eastwood into the stratosphere. Everything by this orchestra is amazing and there's a lot on here to see. The hanging man is just a theme from the movies as hanging wasn't so much justice dispensed as it was pretty much a sport back then. Tuva Semmingsen (Wah Wah) is a Norwegian soprano and she too is also amazing, please listen to "Bang Bang" and look close she's wearing guns for earrings...Christine Nonbo Andersen also amazing, the skill required for all this is beyond belief, one single note out of place and the entire piece is shattered, it's mind boggling to see what a group of dedicated people can do together, one no more or less important than another, astonishing.

The two pieces of wood are made of oak attached by a leather strap. It's part of the percussion section in the orchestra. Is used quite often in different pieces of music.
