I wish they had released the eyeshadow palette as 2 separate palettes. The warm side on the left just isn’t a color story that I like. The cooler side on the right is perfect for me. I just wouldn’t use the left side at all

Laura Geller used to make these Swirled Illuminators that were so beautiful… no sparkle or glitter just perfect. Diamond was my favorite. White with pink shift. I wish she would bring them back.

The palette art is giving major 'YA fantasy with two competing love interests' vibes. Very ACOTAR. The dark side's color story fits the theme perfectly with its moody, cool toned, wintery color scheme. But why is the light side so... peachy pinky? These aren't rare colors to find so why did they go out of their way for this? I went down a google rabbit hole trying to find out if Baldur is somehow associated with these tones, but no - he's seems to be associated with bright, white, gilded, luminous, heaven-like tones. I wish we would have gotten a twist on that. Such a shame, that art though :(

I 100% agree with you on the squishy shades!!!! Ensley Reign has a bunch also-I prefer the really smooth buttery shimmers way more. You are right about the crust and then it sits weird on your eye and you try to apply more and it doesn’t even it out, it just makes it look worse!

I’m not surprised by the palette because Tati leaked it in a video last week. I love the right side of the palette but the left half is not exciting to me. That being said those are shades a lot of people will like because they’re nice for everyday. The highlighters look amazing but I’m oily so I glow already lol I’d buy one to use as eyeshadow but the price is steep for me rn. Packaging looks beautiful and the theme is great, but I’ll wait until there’s a promo to reconsider. Thank you for sharing your honest opinions as always, Theresa!

I'm glad to see highlighters coming back into fashion. I never left 2016 and I'm still ready for more! I'll skip the pallet though - there are too many shades I wouldn't use and squishy shades crease on me.

I hope that Oden’s Eye is paying attention because there are a lot of comments stating that they prefer the right hand cooler side over the warm left side. The only Oden’s Eye eyeshadow palette that I own is the original Christmas Eve palette which is gorgeous. I haven’t bought more palettes because they tend to have warmer colors. It would be great to see them release more cool toned palettes

I also feel the same with textured shimmers creating texture on eyelids. Viseart is one brand that doesn't do that for me - always smooth and no fallout , no glitter glue needed.

Feel like the highlighters in Oden's first collection, with the beautiful round packaging, were pretty light on the glitters. Their subsequent releases seem to have gotten increasingly chunky, like more glitter than powder. I do not care for it. Still happy with the green and the purple I got back in that initial release but I won't be replacing them once they run down. They have some chonky eye shadows that similarly seem more glitter particles than powder and all they do is push themselves (and any surrounding shadow) firmly into my hooded crease. Which is a spectacular look: bald lid, thick brown crease 😆. I have come to terms with the fact that this brand is better suited to younger eyes and skin than mine. Godspeed 🫡

The scam reindeer and snowman palettes turned me off from Oden’s Eye 100%! I loved the previous years collection and the stone and rock, then bam they imploded. Them I heard a lot of rumblings that they sent the good formula to influencers and the crap to the paying customers and that did me in. Beautiful looks Theresa 😊

The "smooshy shades” as you said, definitely apply better with fingers. I've not tried these, but all other smooshy shades I've tried are best with fingers. I love them lol

I'm a huge mythology nerd & I always appreciate Odens Eye for their themes & beautiful fantasy art. I bought a couple things years ago- highlighters I think- & they were so glittery that I didn't keep them. The eyeshadow palettes are just never the right colorstory for me so I admire them but do not purchase. It's too bad these blushes are not liquid or cream since I like the intensity of color but they're way too deep & pigmented for my pale ass. If they were a sheerer formula or you could mix with foundation they would be great. So yeah, Odens Eye is one of those brands that I admire & appreciate from afar but know it's not for me. And that's ok. Not everything is for everybody.

I watched Angie's video and was super excited to see what they had been teasing and it was a bit meh for me. I'm happy they made blushes for darker skin tones, I'm pale blue so they're not for me which is fine I already have some from previous releases. The palette makes sense with the story but I only really like the cool toned half. I was kind of 50/50 over the palette but you have pulled me back to reality, orange doesn't look good on my skin - it makes me look sick, so how much would I really use it? I think I will pass on this palette. I'm also not the biggest fan of the flaky shades. I can't really see with this palette how you could mix the 2 sides together for extra looks because the cool side is very cool and the warm side is very warm. I have a highlighter from them and theirs are more the going out out (I know that sounds weird, it's a British thing, going out is like going to a friend's house, out out means a pub/club/restaurant) type of highlighter that would be great for clubbing or festivals etc.. but isn't so good for day to day makeup. This will be the first release from them I've skipped since Angie made me fall in love with them.

I’m riding the fence on the palette because I not a fan of the squishy shades. I like shimmers and multichromes that I can use a brush and not my fingers. The blushes and highlighter s are right up my alley. I’m disappointed that the blushes and highlighters are not in bundle sets.

Also sparkles are little pieces of plastic….. unless they are biodegradable but Odens Eye doesn’t advertise. Although biodegradable plastic, it’s not really biodegradable anyways. I’m all for less messy palettes.

I love moe so much haha I literally just watched the review for this palette from angelica right before this and i commented on her video that this palette is a flop to me. One, huge makeup collector and giant palettes deter me from buying. Its not practical for atoring. Two, hate one whole side of it. Three, hate flaky shades cause they also make my eyelids look old and diseased haha and four..the one shade guard is a dud and thats a bad thing to me..all of these millions of makeup launches right now (AND COMING!!) has me already spending too much so im being especially picky on my choices. I want too much. So this one is a hard pass.
