Great podcast, having a life so credit to Jamie for turning it around. Ive watched a lot of podcasts with former prisoners, many seem to revel in telling there stories of all the bad things they've done, This guy is different on reflection you can see he's genuinely ashamed and wants atone and be a different person 👍🙏

Manager telling the other players they have to chip in with goals 😂
@MajorMac6218 ай бұрын
@@Ramirez_477this does happen. My brother 3 years older than me. When we lived in Troon. He played for a team and the Celtic and Kilmarnock scouting teams where there watching my brother and one other defender. My dad put so much pressure onto my brother. (He was absolutely amazing) 12-13 years old at the time and had the nickname wallie 😂 sad I know that now. But anyway. The team manager told everyone to let him go up for all challenges to head the ball. The others have to chip in and take some strain or some bull sh1t like that. Anyway my dad kept banging on and banging on. My brother shouted fuck this had a complete freak out under intense pressure and scored an own goal on purpose and walked off. 😂 wtf right? Well my dad tells it today like he looked up at the scouts they looked at him then the manager and shrugged their shoulders and walked off. At the time we didn’t know they were only there for him we found that out later. He later got invited to Kilmarnock tryout and was scouted. Did a couple years there and was really good. But was too affected mentally by my mothers death on his 9th birthday years prior he lost his way in life. Now he has no teeth and drives on and off for Amazon. Crazy right. I’m a bit bummed about it because we would have been close. Especially close had he got a pro contract. Imagine the dough id have now 😂 😂 ahhh win some loose some don’t we
