The GoPro CHESTY REVIEWED || IS THE STUNTMAN BETTER || Which is Best For MTB Riding.

Whats Up Everybody, Welcome Back!
Today we review the very popular GoPro Performance Chest Mount and we compare it to the Stuntman Chest Mount.
- DISCLAIMER - Figured id throw this up just remind you that I am in now way saying the GoPro is inferior or useless, I am just confirming that I had a few issues that can easily be sorted and worked around but I see no need as I already own the Stuntman and it covers these issues.
I have been using the Stuntman for a bit over 2 years now and never an issue but lately I’ve been seeing riders using the current offering from GoPro and a few reviews also made me decide to go grab one and give it a go.
I wont go into too much detail here as I will just mimic what has been said in the video but PLEASE DO NOT think I am rubbishing the GoPro, it is a great quality world leader in Chest Mount Harnesses BUT I felt that the Stuntman provided a few additional features that suited my riding needs.

Welcome Back Flow riders. OK so I was worried that many may view this the wrong way and think I’m putting the chesty down, Im not. Please understand that this review is based on my own personal experience and also factor in that I am a 6ft tall rider that weighs 110kilo so I am using more strap than most would be. It is a simple and honest opinion from me and I understand that many will disagree and I accept that as we all have our own personal taste and likes.. Hope you enjoy and ride on.

i think i have to give the stuntman a try, i recently bought the hero10 and started to use the superview...in some rough sections the camera is shaking with the gopro chest! But i still have to do some proper testing...thanks for the review!

Great video as always Craig I always thought the go pros were uncomfortable to wear, not that I’ve ever worn one. Just to give you advanced warning I could be at Nerang towards the end of the week so I suggest you get your rides in. As the last time I was going to go to Nerang…well you know what happened ⛈⛈⛈😂😂

Nice one Craig…. Didn’t even know about the stuntman harness…. I do 99.9% of filming with camera on my chin bar of a full face. I’ve seen ppl mess their face up with the silliness crash and also your neck acts like a gimbal as well

Yep you cant beat a Full FACE for those reasons but after having to wear one for the past 30+yrs when racing I now just enjoy simplicity these days..

Thanks for the review. I’ve ordered the Chesty. Regarding the discomfort around the neck. I will avoid that by wearing something with a collar, a shirt for example. I understand that this is not practical in your sport but, personally, I hope to avoid this with my idea.

Perfect timing vid Craig. I’m looking for a new chesty. The stuntman looks the way to go, on the website, it doesn’t look like you can slide the GoPro on an off with ease….it looks like you have to unscrew it every time. However your stuntman looks as though it has the slide off clip for the camera?? I’m not keen on unscrewing it every time I want to talk to the camera. I’ll need to do so more research. Cheers mate. Jules I purchased a GoPro Mount with a screw thread on the back, it stays on the chest at all times a d I just click the camera on and off the exact same way as the GP chesty. 2 of these mounts cost me under &20.00. I’ll send you sone pics.

Haha coincidentally enough YES I went yesterday for the first time BUT I was still Jumping between the Chesty and the Stuntman and my first run the camera angle is facing down too much so im not sure if I make an edit with this footage or come back next weekend and start again. Such a sweet trail and I cant wait to get back there..

@@jacksonandrews7278 Fun, fast and unpredictable at speed. Nothing id consider too tech HOWEVER if you blink for too long the trail will bite you. There is something to pay attention to on every straight and every corner.. It is a seriously fun rollable trail with some challenges at speed.. You will Love It mate.

Stuntman rules. I posted a video about using it in conjunction with ND filters, which affect stability. Comparing my new video with older ones, the difference is visibly drastic

Unfortunately I can’t afford to buy the new GoPro 11 so testing will be a while away. I not too long ago got the Hero10 which is the same basic size and weight to the 11 and have been using it on the Chesty. I could review that combo but can’t afford the 11 sorry.

Good video but you have the chesty mounted way to low. It is designed to be up on you're chest not below it.

Still did the same thing on my chest as well, in fact it moved around more when higher on my chest than it does lower.

And so do I 100%, Im really impressed with its user friendly adjustments, chest plate comfort and buckle system but as I mentioned I just had a hard time with the straps rubbing on my neck…

nice review, I've tried both and the gopro is garbage, straps too stretchy if you're using a gimbal. Stuntman, not perfect, but gets the job done. One thing that bothers me about it tho is in a crash, I'm worried about the plate digging into my body..

Agree with your comments regarding the Chesty but im not concerned about the Stuntman plate as it is flexible enough that it could never do any serious damage….. HOPEFULLY I never get to test that theory though 🤔
