My friend used to breed alpacas. The females were sweet but she said the males were aggressive and her husband would go in and care for them.

Yup was a zookeeper, we had alpacas, llamas, and camels. Female alpacas are sweet and docile, males are pretty aggressive, especially during breeding. Llamas, yeah basically bigger male alpacas (though I was a favorite of one of our males, his name was Chewbacca
