LOVE IT! This Video really hit the bullseye for me. I have been running locals in Germany for the past 10 Years in a permanent location and know the struggle you guys went and are going through. The build up until you have all the equipment and your workflows layed out may be hard but it will definetly pay off in the end. I hope you continue with your journey and Singapore FGC will prosper and strong players will come forth. If there is a way to support you guys from afar drop me some informations here. Regards Carmelo aka. Kingcar from Germany

Great peek behind the scenes. Anything that helps create a template to grow and support locals is really helpful. Really…NRS, Capcom, etc should be growing these locals.

Sometimes the only thing that connects two people is the fighting game itself, and when the "current" fighting game changes, it can turn out that some people don't enjoy the new thing. And without any other connecting factor the point of going to locals is lost. Fighting games unify people and it feels good to dissolve in the community and become a part of something bigger when you enjoy them. One good offline event, be it a tournament or a casual buttonmash gathering, can make your whole day, week or even a month, so much so that you wake up with a smile on your face, sweet fresh memories and anticipation for more. And yes, offline events are incomparably more fun than playing at the comfort of own home. Funny enough, I first found out about this not through fighting games, but through Monster Hunter local WiFi multiplayer on PSP.

I've been playing fighting games for over 10 years and during that time never made it to a local, they are super far away from where I live and travel always was expensive and that part is not getting better Really feel like this is a central aspect of the fgc that is so easy to miss out on when there isn't that much of an existing offline scene and you're not a great organizer yourself
