I loved the Golden Girls. They always helped each other through some difficult times. Sophia's stories were great, but Rose's stories were hilarious!

I love the golden girls , they join me in the kitchen almost every night while cleaning up and preparing for the next day. When the last episode is finished I just start again from the beginning. They cover the whole scale of human emotions with a very light hand it is beautiful to me. Sorry about your mom she looks like a diamond girl in your video.

I’m new here but not to the golden girls. Listening to this video I balled my eyes out for you and I laughed for you and I breathed in some nostalgia for myself. This page is special. I’m sorry for your loss, I truly am. ❤

Thank you for sharing your Gospel (and your story) This was so clever and so lovely. Funny coincidence that I gave you the same quote in an email ❤We can see that you have a strong support system! Your golden girls community will always be here for you as well. I think it’s appropriate to say… thank you for being a friend 😊

Courtney, I'm sorry I'm just seeing this specific video now. The part about your mom really touched me. I also lost my mom in 2014 and gg has always been a comfort to me in times when I need it. I understand exactly what you mean about nobody seeing you quite like your mom does. We talked every day, and it's so hard to go from that to nothing. To no longer having that person you think to tell good news to first, or ask advice from. I hope you are doing OK and I'm so glad you shared this with us. Thank YOU for being a friend 🩷 hugs to you

Oh that's very kind of you no apologies necessary. I am sorry to hear you lost your mother in 2024. As I imagine it was for you, the first year has been rough. I do a grief support group once a week and someone in group said the second year can feel harder and I think that's possible. The sense of final. Getting further from the time she was alive. It's hard. It's the worst. It sucks. I appreciate your kindness.

My mother has dementia. Having the Golden Girls where we can watch it over and over helps. She doesn't speak much anymore. She sings certain songs and know lines from this show by heart. My daddy's name is Charlee too. I'm so sorry about your mother. I'm glad you have these memories with her. I have Golden memories with my mom. Even on days when she doesn't know who I am, we laugh at this show.

I am sorry about your mother. Dementia is devastating. It sounds like a treasure you can share the golden girls together still.
@keekers8 ай бұрын
@@StayGoldenGirls I hate it. I'm adopted. Mom started showing signs that something was wrong while I was still at home. My older brother was in medical school and helped Mom make sure doctors listened to her. Sadly, we know it's dementia and what forms it isn't (if it were early onset Alzheimer's, she wouldn't be here now...the rude comment told to me by one doctor.) As medical testing started upsetting her more and more...we finally have doctors agreeing it's dementia. (Mom has gotten lost many times, that's the scariest). She went from being my sweet and patient mother to being upset and angry. Now she has stopped talking much. We finally know we might now have answers. We have support. My boyfriend knew when we first started dating that taking care of my Mom was non negotiable for me. He built us a home with a mother-in-law suite for Mom and Dad as soon as I accepted his marriage proposal. Had our home built before we got married. He put the care of my mother into our vows and into the prenup his parents insisted we have. Having my dad, brothers and husband as support has helped. The days when she forgets who I am, when she is scared are the worst. I can handle angry better than scared. Since no one can tell us what form of dementia she has...we don't know how long. I know that her great grandmother lived into her 90s and died from complications of Alzheimer's. Her grandmother has been showing signs of dementia. My mother is about to turn 49.

I'm so sorry to hear that all happened the medical field can be so unhelpful at times. It sounds like your partner is very supportive and kind as it is absolutely hard on you to live with this. I appreciate you sharing

Dear sweet Courtney, how sad that your Mom passed that way. She's always with you in spirit as the bonds of love cannot be broken. And you can still talk to her the way Sophia did to Sal when he repeated his Cagney impression in heaven or when Sal appeared in the Brooklyn apt bedroom to help restore Sophia's memories. Will there be a yearly pilgrimage to St Olaf?

(wipes tears from eyes 19 times... ) Stay Golden Stan (not Zbornak , the superfan slang) here - I am absolutely blown away. I intend to join your mission. I would like to do the same here in Portland. Are you willing to accept disciples? I think you're really onto something, and I want to join your cult (a sentence I swore I'd never say!) I hail from the city of the long missed 24-Hour Church of Elvis, and our community could use some good spirits.

I am Joe King, but absolutely serious about this. It'd be great at Pride and our weekend markets. Possibly also function as a fundraiser for a local charity - like the one that helped my family when my mom died unexpectedly. I've never been aligned with a spiritual movement, until today. Thank you for being a friend.

Wow this is.... blasphemy on a different level.....and I am not super religious or religious at all but how this was set up is straight blasphemy on a cosmic level its a signal to the higher entities how lost the human race really is we have nothing and are nothing of what we used to be I love the golden girl but this.....mockery is actually sad you are worshiping the writers of a sitcom there is power and energy in all we do ignorance is not bliss its sad and its dangerous in our grief we turn to tv....agenda completed lol
