We all know that prices of almost everything aren’t coming down. Simply put, they're rising less. Costs are rising due to rising inflation. As we are evidently at the verge of hyperinflation, with the less haves bearing the brunt of the burden. I'm more concerned that the rising inflation may lead my entire $990k retirement funds to lose value. Where else could we put our cash?

Well, since COVID, it has become more difficult to create a strong financial portfolio, I advise you to create a diversification strategy. My coworker advised me to see a consultant. I did, and because to my advisor's assistance throughout this market fall, I actually gained almost $926K in profits. Despite the ups and downs, she employs defensive methods to safeguard my portfolio and generate gains.

Inflation can have a significant impact on individuals and their cost of living. As a result, it can cause negative market sentiment. It is important for individuals and businesses to find ways to navigate and potentially mitigate the effects of inflation on their finances. The current economic climate, including underperformance of financial markets due to fear of inflation, has led to a decrease in the value of my portfolio. I would appreciate any recommendations on how to potentially increase returns during this market downturn.

No, the Government is definitely not being honest about inflation. Anyone purchasing groceries or gasoline is well aware that real inflation is much over 10%; they simply lie about it like cheap blankets. In reality, interest rates would be in the 20s because of how high inflation is. My major concern is despite the high rate of inflation, certain investors continue to earn over $365,000. Wish I could accomplish that.

Wages I paid went up 70% over a few years just to retain employees. Real estate taxes have gone up 19% in past two years. My home insurance has gone up 42% over past two years. Our commonly purchased food items have tripled in the past two years. Our gas prices have gone up 75% in past two years. These are our primary expenses!

According to Google: Question: Does the US government buy stocks? Answer: The Federal Reserve implements monetary policy decisions through the buying and selling of securities (held in the System Open Market Account, or SOMA) on the open market desk at the New York Fed. These transactions serve to adjust the cost and availability of money and credit in the U.S. economy. (Can someone please clarify this mysterious "FED" term? this seems to be what is making this so difficult to understand. Is "The FED" in this specific case "The Biden Administration"?)

They didn’t screw retirees over. They just kicked the can down the road for the bigger issue. SS runs out of reserves by 2033 at the current rates, at which point they could only afford to pay people about 75% of their current SS income. If anything this gives retirees and tax payers more time before the inevitable of either higher taxes or less benefits. I’m 100% for a form of social security. But this needs revised for who really needs it. You can be a multimillionaire still collecting SS. There’s a reason companies left the defined benefit plans (pensions) and put it back on the employees with 401k’s. Hell most states pension plans are not well run either.
@JKlessig
@JKlessig 11 ай бұрын
In order to pay SS retirees more they need to raise taxes. Are we all ready for that?? There’s a demographics problem. Not enough people to pay into the system. This means even more money will come out of your paycheck. It’s not sustainable. Everybody wants something for nothing, tax breaks plus more money from government. The math doesn’t add up.

People like Steve Moore, who have been critical of the inflation situation, have been way understating what the actual price increases have been. They talk on TV about prices that are 10%, 12%, 15% higher than a year or two ago. No way. It's more like 50% to well over 100%. And let's not forget to mention that everyone's 401K and brokerage accounts are still down at least 30% from when Trump was in office. Biden has been a disaster.

We (I) have listened to Peter Schiff for many years now. He is the go to guy for truth! When other naysayers were opposed to the debt problems starting from over nearly two decades ago, Peter was stating the obvious that this will end badly. This is ending very badly and many of us knew it. The naysayers were and are not using common sense. Peter knows this financial situation better than most people. Just glad I have had the opportunity to learn from his wisdom. Thank you for sharing your valuable information with all of us.

The current system is showing signs of strain due to government and federal policies. In the coming days, the banking crisis would need to reach an unprecedented scale for the FED to avoid raising interest rates. However, that seems unlikely; an increase appears imminent, potentially leading to a market downturn. Anticipate more challenging times in the latter half of 2024, marked by market turbulence, escalating inflation, and potential bank failures. I'm curious: will the swift interest rate hike benefit a value-driven investor, or is it wiser to steer clear of stocks temporarily?

Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.

Food is so cheap, always has been too cheap.. i ate like a king this week for $23.. 2 packs imported spaghetti.. $3.50 x 2 is $7. Prego sauce 40oz $6 2 lbs of meat balls $8.. spices $2.. People bitch and complain about nothing. The worse is when they bitch about gas prices.. it adds up to maybe $150 a month… Taxes is what they should be bitching about.. If people would shut up and get to work half as much as they complain.. they wouldn’t have any money problems.

The government currently lacks concrete strategies to address inflation. Inflationary pressures are impacting various sectors, including stocks, housing, and commodities, causing their prices to rise. It is not advisable to keep your money idle and wait for a market crash. Instead, it is prudent to put your money to work by starting with cautious investments and gradually increasing your pace as prices decline further. Withdrawing a significant amount of money, exceeding $500K, from my account at this time presents a challenging decision.

CPI is obviously adjusted and distorted; virtually everyone can observe the consistent mismatch between the official figures and the day-to-day. One obvious reason is that social policies, negociations and consensus depend on it: the lower the better for employers and governments. Yet, it is important to always use the right terminology when one refers to GDP in relation to inflation: Nominal GDP: This is the raw GDP figure that measures the total economic output of a country without adjusting for changes in the price level. It represents the current market value of all goods and services produced in an economy. Nominal GDP can increase due to an increase in the production of goods and services or due to rising prices (inflation) Real GDP: Real GDP, on the other hand, adjusts for inflation or deflation, providing a measure of economic output in constant dollars. It is calculated by taking the nominal GDP and dividing it by an appropriate price index, such as the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or the Producer Price Index (PPI)
