Thank you Billy and Jo for sharing your memories of Elvis through the years. Back in 1978, I was on a bus tour coming from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Memphis to visit Graceland, Elvis’ home in Tupelo and the Circle G ranch. I got to speak with your mom, Lorraine and also yourself, Billy, along with Charlie Hodge and some of the other guys. My sister-in-law and I had a great time also at Liberty Land. I’m sorry it’s not there anymore. I just love when you and Jo share your fascinating experiences of living with Elvis and all the fun you guys had most of the time.

If you think about it, Elvis was around Billy from the time he was born. His and Billy's family were constantly together with brothers marrying sisters, they were closer than most families! ❤ Both families ride in the same car when they moved to Memphis. They never lived more than 2 blocks away from each other in Memphis. And when Elvis bought Graceland, Billy's family was moved into the house on the property before Gladys and Vernon moved there, so Billy's. Daddy could oversee all the construction going on.

Billy on the night Elvis died what kind of shampoo did you use to wash Elvis's hair and did you wash his hair often and did you use conditioner? Elvis's hair was so important but very little has been said about the most famous hair ever and was there any pics of him with gray hair? And congratulations on the new grandbaby!

Sam Philipps brother tells the story of Elvis in 53 or 54 helping Johnny, the Prisonairres lead singer, get the vocals right for 'Walkin' In the Rain' as he and Elvis both had a stuttering problem, and Elvis stayed with him for a bit to help him work through it. All prior to Elvis being a major star!

where u there when Elvis played the 68th Come Back Special? When he is on Stage sitting on a chair playing the Bass Guitar, and sitting beside Elvis, on side of the stage was his guy, thin and Blonde, can U tell me his name please? I have wondered his name for years. Why didn’t Elvis sing more often “If I Could Dream”? I have only heard him sing it two time. First time on the come back special and again in White Suit. His voice had so much Power, Soul, and Strength. The way he sang it brought tears to my eyes that God had created Elvis and his voice for all of us. Singing was Elvis’s true calling in life. And to Jo I wanted to tell u that yr hair and color and way it is styled is just gorgeous. Thank u for all u do!!!!!!

First, I MUST COMPLIMENT Jo on her hair. The color & style are very becoming. You always look beautiful but today you look magnificent. And Billy, you look magnificent too. (Wouldn’t want you to feel slighted). And Danielle is included in this praise. I would never have known anything about this story or why Billy & Elvis were in a photo with the Governor’s children. Elvis really did spiff up Billy’s wardrobe to make him a “Cool Kid” for the night. You sent me down a Google rabbit hole, searching for information on the group. I spent over an hour clicking links & reading. Question: when the group was at the Governor’s Mansion, were they in handcuffs and/or shackles? I remember you mentioning the presence of the guards. A couple of performers were in jail for murder. I’d be a bit nervous around them. It seems there was a documentary produced about those guys but I couldn’t find where to watch it. There are trailers on KZbin but I didn’t see the entire film. Another fine episode “in the can” or ON the tube. (Thank you Danielle) Be BLESSED 😇

Hey Billy and Jo!!! First I wanna say Thank you!! For keeping Elvis the man in our hearts! I was 2 months old when he passed , my mother was crushed along with the rest of the world! Needless to say I knew every word to every song by the time I was 4..... There really never has been or will be anyone like him! My children are 23 , 18, and 9 they too know Elvis his music and life very well!! This is how he lives memories passing the tourch so to speak right?! Lol..... My question to you is everyone says your momma was Lorraine ..would that be Louise ? If so I met her in 2010 I have Wonderful pictures of her with my H1 hummer I drove it from Maryland to Graceland for the first Elvis car show It was my first time to Graceland and what an experience !! Mrs Louise loved the truck she was such a wonderful wonderful lady I had so much fun with her for 3 days straight ... We were there for 10 but the time I got to spend with her was one of the best times in my life!! Where is " The popcorn trophy " now ? I LOVE that story so funny I can imagine the look on Elvis' face!!! Lol Anyway I'm so sorry to ramble when ya get to talking about Elvis and your family I could go on and on!!!!! Take care!!! Y'all look great!!! Thank u again for still TCB!!!!!
