I'm like you Bruce, i have enough to charge so I don't want electric clothing. I will say a full face motorcycle helmet is great in colder weather.

I ride all year round to work and back, 20mi round trip. Just got the X and i love it. I don't have a garage so I take the battery in each night to charge. For the cold i wear a full face helmet. And i made wind gaurds for my hands that enclose my entire hand... I cut a round poland spring bottle in half... extended the edges of the cut portion out amount 4-5" with cardboard...and covered the whole thing w black gorilla tape. My hands catch zero wind...i can ride gloveless in 45° weather. And i have gaiters that go from my knees to ankles.

Add a windbreaker layer to stop cold air. Go electric. Vest or coat, gloves, socks, use rechargeable battery packs. They make heated sleeves for down tube batteries. Rain cover for your helmet. Good for the winter. ☃️🚴🏻

Thank you my Friend. My jacket is a windbreaker.....weakest links, which I think i fixed....neck, face, ankles, hands...... I got ankle gaiters, face/neck cover, thicker gloves. :)

Thank you for sharing! If you stayed in ebike mode (19-20 mph)...very little wind chill and riding in the 40s would be a piece of cake...but as soon as you break 30 mph....chilly! I still like the idea of Florida....ha ha ha. Thank you for sharing and Watching, Liking and Subscribing!

Oh, the batteries are compatible. 48V is 48V. Open the space beside where the battery contacts are on the battery mounting piece. Most likely, you'll find the connections there the same. You can extend the power connection to the outside of the cradle and connect it to your bike.
@IMBruceECLECTIC17 күн бұрын
Thank you my Friend for sharing knowledge and Liking and Watching!! Above my skill level. And, the attorney in me knows once you do that, you have voided the warranty. AND, I bought this bike with my Navy Federal Credit Card which doubles the warranty on E-bikes. So I have a 2 year warranty on my X. BUT I have done something similar with another bike that had an XT90 connector already in place so I just added a "pigtail" to be able to easily plug in an extra battery. The big issue with the X is where to put an extra battery without adding the rear rack.
@ecocentrichomestead678317 күн бұрын
@@IMBruceECLECTIC yes, it would void the warranty on the battery and mount.

Great to see You & E.T back out on Stella again mate, you seem happier now she's fully operational again. Heck, you're always happy anyway, it's always nice to see how you engage with everyone whilst out on your E-biking journeys.. That guy's dog was cool, it was very tall I noticed, and he said it didn't like bikes - well, I've noticed that quite a lot of dogs tend to get freaked out by e-bikes... Your neighbours a cool guy too, flying planes & helicopters must be soooo much fun, and it's a really cool talking point too 😅 Great vid mate, and I always love it when you go down to the waters edge, that place is so serene, and beautiful - I'd go there all the time, I love water (I'm a pisces after all) 😂 Keep up the excellent work!!! 🚲⚡👍
