Yea that place is a sight to behold. It is something unique and special. Getting over to the other side of the Island is where you really see it all come together.

What a great video with all the colours and gorgeous cottages. Aaron your filming is wonderful, you manage to catch Laura and the scenery in the background so professionally.I can't work out How your filming doesn't bounce as you walk ? The colour and quality is amazing. Laura you effortlessly show your knowledge as you rattle off all the plan names as you walk by. I will never get to America so thank you for taking me there through your videos, I can almost smell the flowers !

Awesome video! My Great-Grandmother used to work at the Grand Hotel during the summers when she was a teenager :) Living in Michigan, we do take the island for granted that it will always be there and when we head north we make a day trip out of it but that's about it, so sad, maybe one day we will spend the weekend on the island :) Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for the Tour!!❤️👍 I love the Grand Hotel. While we were there I walked down a path thru the woods & found a greenhouse😃 I was so excited. Had a very nice visit with the gentleman who was working in the greenhouse. The Signature Red Geraniums were in there. I just knew there was a greenhouse somewhere close as all of the Red Geraniums are absolutely perfect around the hotel at all times. I love the Island ❤️❤️💕

You have the best garden channel! I love seeing around your house development, but then taking these trips to interesting places with interesting gardens is like the pop of color people want in their garden. The deer ate all my hosta leaves; so my mass planting looks like a bad haircut with a mass of stems only, ha, ha.

I know this is a really old comment, so maybe you know this by now, but you can amend your soil to change the color of hydrangeas. It's based on how alkaline/acidic the soil is. (Blue with a low ph, pink with a high ph, purple in the middle)
@jmac43137 жыл бұрын

Beautiful gardens! Love all the hydrangea. I want some of the spitfire ones but will have to order them. We put wood ashes around our Blue hydrangea and it changes the soil to make it such a beautiful blue color. Maybe take some ashes from your outdoor fireplace and see if that would give you a blue one. At the bottom of the steps where you showed the pink and white hydrangea, could you please tell me the name of those? They were gorgeous and would love to plant some. Can't wait for the private gardens tour. Y'all do such an amazing job with sharing that beautiful island with us. Thank you so so so so so much!!! 🌺🌼🌸🌻🌺💜💜💜💖💖💖

Thank you for a great tour of the hotel gardens. I wonder what that hydrangea at the bottom of the one stairs was again? It was massive with pink around bottom and white tips of the bloom. You said it but missed the name. There had to be more than one plant, it was very dramatic. Can't wait for more tours of the private residences.
