I loved the buffet at the Grand Sierra Resort when i was a kid living in Reno/Sparks back in the 90s (formally known as the Reno Hilton back then). The food looked pretty decent though I'm not a fan that the lobster wasn't all you can eat and only get 1 lobster. For that same price and wait time, i would probably stick with the AYCE buffet at the Palms. Next time i visit Reno I'll try the buffet on a non lobster day. Hopefully you did a video over at the Atlantis hotel and casino buffet during the trip

We live in the SF Bay Area and used to fly to Reno twice a month for years. Our favorite buffet was at the Eldorado. We stayed and played at the downtown casinos. Unfortunately, COVID and the opening of Indian casinos in CA changed things in Reno. Business took a hit and many downtown casinos and buffets closed down…So Sad! Reno was our “second home”, but have not been there in years.

omg, wow, i did NOT expect to NOT see you eat the food but it makes sense. This was a very cool video in that it was something so different and unexpected. yes, i was disappointed, but its ok,, you showed all the food, and still made a great video out of it! oh, and pickled beets are the worst, but have you tried NON pickled? for me, they are ok but still way too salty, soooo, i found unsalted canned beets at the store, both whole and slice and they are very good and good for you. 😊

I mean, the sign DOES state one tail per person and even the size too. Can't be mad really with that upfrontness. As a one off in Reno, probably not a bad change of pace. I think the price is fair given all the other lobster dishes offered.

No. That $69 special menu doesn't justify $24 more than the normally $45 (over 53% of). If anything, they should've limit to at least 2 lobster tails.

In most restaurants in Vegas, you’d pay big money to order lobster tail. Maybe our perception would be different if we’d been able to try the food. We were a bit concerned with the feedback we were getting from folks who were leaving though.

@@wilsonk1464 here in Vegas the markups for "special menu" buffets are AT LEAST $24 dollars.... and that generally takes the total over $100 a person IF lobster is involved. The AYCE at Palms being an exception of course, but that's a bi-day weekly offering and reservations are a must. If I was in Reno, food taste and quality being unknown to me at the time, I'd try it for that price and feel fine about it.

Lobster buffet is definitely a false advertisement. I was a bit surprised when I was given a token/coupon and started to realize that I was only going to get a single lobster despite the fact that they advertised as though it's buffet for lobster. Their brunch buffet is pretty good though. It's got country fried (chicken) steak I like.

We love the Grand Sierra resort as it has the most activities, including a nice pool and arcade but the few times we’ve been to this buffet, it’s been a huge disappointment. Food quality is mediocre compared to the top Las Vegas buffets. Last time we were in Reno, we actually enjoyed the Atlantis buffet and thought the crab legs were solid. If you really wanted a buffet in Reno, I’d recommend that one.

I don't like lobster, but that wait is way too long. Some of the food looked good, but the lobster mac and cheese did not look good. Our local store made some, that was really good, and looked ten times better than that. And, they are not taking care of the displays. It looked sloppy. Not a $70 buffet at all.

How deceiving...I wouldnt call this a lobster buffet when the only true lobster item you get is ONE tail. I dont consider items with lobster in them really part of the "lobster buffet"..
